Liev Schreiber goes shirtless on rare family vacation with wife and all three kids after mystery hospitalization

Liev Schreiber appeared relaxed and rejuvenated as he enjoyed a rare family getaway in Barbados.

The 58-year-old actor showed off his physique on the beach, seemingly putting any recent health worries behind him as he enjoyed the sunshine and ocean.

DailyMail.com has photos of Liev Schreiber with his wife, Taylor Neisen, 33. She looked stunning in a bikini while carrying their daughter, Hazel Bee, who was born in August 2023.

The couple, who started dating in 2017 and married in 2023, were accompanied by Liev Schreiber’s two older children, 18-year-old Sasha and 17-year-old Kai, from his previous relationship with Naomi Watts, and a friend of theirs.

The group spent a relaxing day at the beach, enjoying the Caribbean sunshine while lounging, wading in the water, and generally unwinding.

These relaxed moments follow recent worries about Schreiber, who was briefly hospitalized a few weeks ago after experiencing a severe headache.

According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, the actor felt humiliated by the public attention surrounding his hospital visit for a headache. He reportedly didn’t want people to know he’d needed medical care, fearing it would make him seem vulnerable at the peak of his career.

The actor is simply relieved to be feeling much better, as the pain had been unbearable. He’s also thankful for the care he received from his doctors.

It’s not the first time the actor has had a health scare related to a headache.

While performing in the Broadway play ‘Doubt: A Parable’ in 2024, he experienced a rare condition called transient global amnesia, which was triggered by a migraine.

Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) is a rare and harmless condition where someone suddenly loses their memory, but it always returns within 24 hours, as explained by the Cleveland Clinic.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what happened to him! He was telling Seth Meyers all about it, and it sounded like the absolute WORST thing that could ever happen to an actor. He was just getting ready in his dressing room when this awful headache came on. He thought it was just something from grabbing a quick bite, you know, a fast-food headache, but it was way more intense than that. I was SO worried just hearing him talk about it!

‘I’m walking down the stairs and I’m thinking, “This is not normal. I don’t feel okay.”‘

He realized something was seriously off when he spotted his co-star, Amy Ryan, behind the scenes, but he surprisingly couldn’t recall her name.

His condition worsened when he stepped back onstage and could not remember his lines.

He said everything was disappearing – he’d forgotten the play itself. He was aware he was acting, but couldn’t remember what he was performing in.

I’ll never forget it. My doctor – and he’s a good friend, so seeing his face was really unsettling – rushed in looking absolutely terrified. Then my wife appeared, and she was just as scared. That’s when it hit me: this wasn’t just a bad moment, this was serious. I immediately thought, ‘Oh no, I’m having a stroke. This is it.’

Even though doctors said Schreiber had Transient Global Amnesia, he was convinced he’d had a stroke.

He told me this feeling wouldn’t last, that it would disappear within a day, but I didn’t think so. Being naturally prone to worrying about my health, I was certain I’d had a stroke, even though the doctors hadn’t found anything.

I was so relieved to hear that Schreiber’s MRI came back clear! Apparently, everything looked ‘perfectly fine’ – no brain bleed at all. It’s such a weight off my mind to know he’s okay.

‘Apparently it’s brought on by migraines and rigorous coitus,’ he quipped.

He said he’d wake up each morning with the entire play fresh in his mind. After that, he never forgot it again. He’d been worried about appearing dishonest and people thinking he was skipping work at the theater, so he was relieved it hadn’t happened.

Meyers playfully lamented that the Emmy-nominated actor unfortunately contracted a temporary genital anesthesia (TGA) due to a migraine, rather than from sexual activity.

Schreiber joked, ‘Considering the alternative was something truly awful, I’ll take a migraine any day!’

Liev Schreiber is widely recognized for his leading role as Ray Donovan in the Showtime series of the same name, which ran from 2013 to 2020.

Originally from San Francisco, she married Taylor Neisen in July 2023. The couple met in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Hazel Bee, in August 2023.

He shares two children with his former partner, Naomi: son Sasha and daughter Kai, who publicly came out as transgender earlier this year.

The pair dated for 11 years before splitting up in September 2016.
