The latest update to eFootball 2026 includes a new Epic pack featuring top midfielders from the Spanish League. This pack introduces Thiago Alcantara as a world-class player, joining Clarence Seedorf and Takefusa Kubo who have previously received Epic cards. We’ll take a closer look at whether this pack is worth trying in our review.
eFootball 2026 Epic Spanish League Midfielders players
Clarence Seedorf
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass and Low Screamer
This Seedorf card seems like a reliable choice for midfield. His stats are well-rounded, as you’d expect from a player who can do a bit of everything. He excels at passing, particularly short passes, and his ‘Phenomenal Pass’ ability is a nice bonus.

He’s a strong defensive player, consistently rated over 90. He’s aware of his surroundings, actively challenges opponents, and tackles effectively, making him a valuable contributor even when he doesn’t have possession. Plus, being equally skilled with both feet is a major asset, and he’s maintained this level of play throughout his career.
He’s quick and has the stamina to play a full 90 minutes. While he could improve his heading and finishing, that’s not really what he’s asked to do. Could he be even better? Yes, but he’s still one of the best central midfield players who can also contribute defensively.
Thiago Alcantara
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass
Thiago is now available as an Epic card in eFootball, but I was a bit let down by how it looks. He really excels when he has the ball, though. His ball control, close dribbling, and passing are all excellent, and his Visionary Pass ability makes him a serious threat.
This card makes dribbling incredibly fun and easy to control. While not lightning-fast, the speed and acceleration, both in the 80s, are pretty good – they can even reach the high 80s with upgrades. His defense isn’t great, and the points allocated to it in the late 70s don’t really make a difference.

This Thiago player card performs best in slower-paced gameplay where you have time to build attacks and create opportunities. He’s not a good choice if you prefer fast-paced, physical players who excel at shielding the ball and focusing on defense.
I was a little disappointed with how they introduced his character. He really needed another special ability – something like Phenomenal Pass would have been perfect – but they didn’t include one. The debut card wasn’t particularly impressive, but I’ll still accept it.
Takefusa Kubo
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: Momentum Dribbling and Phenomenal Pass
Okay, so Kubo’s cards are consistently solid, but this one? This one’s a beast. Stat-wise, it might even outperform the Thiago card. It makes total sense, though – he’s a winger, so his dribbling, close control, balance, and speed are all top-notch. It really feels like they nailed his playstyle in the numbers.

I think his Momentum Dribbling will help him advance the ball and improve his passing and shooting stats. The Phenomenal Pass trait is a nice bonus. However, I don’t think this card is very good – there are simply better options out there. Giving him two Striker traits wasn’t enough to make him stand out.
Best pick from the Epic Spanish League Midfielders pack in eFootball 2026
I didn’t bother with this pack because Thiago’s special card only has one skill boost and his stats aren’t good enough to justify using him regularly in my Barcelona team. I still think the best version of Seedorf is his Milan card, and with more cards likely to be released later this year and early next year, it’s smart to hold onto our in-game currency.
Pack Rating: 2.5 out of 5
