The popular action RPG, Wuthering Waves, will receive a major update (version 3.0) and introduce two new characters, called resonators. One of these, Lynae, will be available starting December 25th, 2025. Based on early information and leaks, we’ve created a comprehensive guide to help you understand Lynae, including reasons to obtain her, how to prepare, and optimal build strategies.
We’ve also updated our information on voice actors, including how to avoid getting banned and what’s being done to prevent leaks. Plus, you can find the latest working redeem codes, guides for rerolling, getting started, understanding elements, and using a controller. We’ve also covered weapon types, echoes, playing with friends, earning Astrite, and a current tier list.
Lynae: Resonator Overview
Okay, so I just learned about Lynae, and she sounds awesome! She’s a new 5-star character coming in version 3.0, and she’s a Spectro type, which is cool. From what I’ve seen, she’s super fast and fights with pistols, which is a style I really like. Her special ability, the resonator, has two different modes – Optical Sampling and Kaleidoscopic Parade. Basically, she’s built to be a damage dealer, either as your main DPS or a really strong sub-DPS. I’m definitely going to try her out!

I’m so excited for her debut! She’s going to be around for a limited time, and everyone’s already talking about her. The coolest thing is, when she skates, her skates actually glow and leave a shimmering trail! Watching her move feels like she’s flying – it’s incredible! We’ll learn even more about her powers once we see the resonator in action, and I can’t wait!

Lynae Resonance Liberation:
TBA

Lynae Intro Skill: Time to Show Some Colors!
- Deal Spectro DMG and recover 100 points of Overflow.
Outro Skill: Let’s Hit the Road!
- Attack the target and deal 100% Spectro DMG. The next incoming Resonator has their All DMG Amplified by 15% and Resonance Liberation DMG by 25% for 14s or until they are switched out.
Passive/Inherent Skills
- Colors Never Fade!: After casting Visual Impact, Lynae leaves Spray Paint on the ground and continuously inflicts Photochromic Flux on targets within the Spray Paint for 5s, triggered once every 2s. When Spray Paint is on the ground, switching to another type of Spectral Analysis doesn’t affect the Photochromic Flux inflicted by the Spray Paint.
- Adaptive Optics: Everyday Applications: Casting Intro Skill – Taste My Colors! grants Polychrome Leap enhanced resistance to interruption and increases Lynae’s Spectro DMG by 10% in the next 8s. During the Kaleidoscopic Parade, if Lynae isn’t in combat, dodging without directional input grants her Optic Camo for 15s, which will be removed when Lynae casts any skill other than dodging. Performing environmental, gameplay, or functional interactions, or entering combat, removes Optic Camo. With Optic Camo, Lynae may enter an enemy’s aggro range without triggering combat.
