On Monday, Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, posted a sweet video showing previously unreleased footage of the late singer making his favorite Christmas gingerbread cookies.

Louis Tomlinson, the singer from One Direction, passed away in October 2024 at the age of 31. He fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and tests later revealed he had alcohol and cocaine in his system.

Kate, 26, shared a TikTok video of herself cooking while fondly remembering her time living in London with Liam. She recalled how he always had his favorite gingerbread men delivered to their house.

She chuckled, recalling how he always received a lot of oddly shaped gingerbread cookies – they were usually quite strange, with one eye positioned high and the other near its leg.

Kate showed a clip of herself and Liam relaxing in bed and enjoying the biscuits, with Liam saying they were ‘the best ever’.

She was happily surprised to hear Liam’s take on the Christmas song “All I Want (For Christmas)” play while she was decorating gingerbread cookies.

Earlier this month, Kate became emotional and revealed that she’ll always have feelings for Liam, meaning any future partners will need to understand and accept that.

The influencer responded to an online critic who told her to stop discussing the deceased singer and focus on something else.

They had been a couple for two years when he died, and Kate shared her experience with mourning on social media.

In a TikTok video, Kate explained that anyone she dates in the future needs to understand she’ll always have feelings for Liam.

‘I will always talk about Liam I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.’

Kate explained, “I want you to know, Liam Payne and I were a couple. He wasn’t just a celebrity to me; he was someone I cared for deeply.”

It’s incredibly painful to be constantly criticized for talking about my late boyfriend, the person I loved deeply and continue to love.

I would never be with someone who isn’t okay with me talking about Liam.

Liam meant a lot to me. He was my best friend, and I truly believed we had a future together. While I know I’ll eventually move forward, I still hope to get married and have children someday.

People truly pass away twice: first with their last breath, and then when we stop remembering them. I refuse to let that happen to Liam. My love for him will never fade.

Liam’s sister, Ruth Gibbins, was deeply upset by the news that his high school will be demolished, saying it felt like a part of him was being taken away.

On Friday, Ruth shared a nostalgic Instagram Story remembering her time with Liam in high school, jokingly mentioning he was always borrowing money from her.

Learning that part of our school is being demolished, and remembering Liam constantly asking me for money while he waited by my locker, feels like losing a piece of him forever. It’s like everything is changing, and he isn’t here to experience those changes with me.

Last month, Kate responded to criticism from her late boyfriend’s sister, who had accused others of exploiting his death for personal gain.

Kate shared photos on Instagram from her recent luxury hotel vacation, which she enjoyed while celebrating her anniversary on October 16th.

Just before the trip, Liam’s sister, Ruth, seemed to criticize Kate in a social media post. She wrote that people were overly focused on the public aspects of the situation and that some were unfortunately more interested in personal gain from it.

It’s important to remember that behind every story, there’s someone grieving. There are children who’ve lost fathers, parents who’ve lost children, and people, like me, who are heartbroken over the loss of a sibling.
