Crossfire: Legends is a fast-paced, player-versus-player (PvP) shooting game made by Level Infinite, which is part of Tencent Games. Players can enjoy familiar game types, a wide range of weapons, and strategic combat. This guide offers tips and tricks to help new players learn the ropes and improve their skills in Crossfire: Legends.
Crossfire: Legends Overview
Let’s take a look at how the game works. Crossfire: Legends is designed for both new and experienced players, starting with a personalized training program. You’ll be introduced to the Search & Destroy mode, where you’ll join one of two teams: Black List or Global Risk.

After learning the fundamental movements and controls – including how to plant and defuse bombs – the tutorial explained how teams switch sides after a few rounds. I appreciated the variety of control schemes available and opted for the BR layout, which felt most comfortable. Surprisingly, we immediately started playing ranked matches.
If you’re like me and were really into CS:GO, this game gives off a similar vibe, but it’s a little more relaxed. One of the maps even reminded me of Rust, which was cool! I was having a blast running around in Team Deathmatch with a Desert Eagle – the aim assist is really forgiving, so even if you’re new to this kind of game, you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting the hang of it.
Introducing the Basics of Crossfire: Legends
Game Modes
The game offers several modes, such as Ranked Match, Player versus Player (PvP), and Mutation. In Ranked Match, you can play Search & Destroy and Team Deathmatch to climb the ranks and get rewards. Similar to CS:GO, players can vote on which maps to play.

Beyond the standard Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy, the PvP mode offers several other options. You can play in Free-for-All, test your skills in the Firing Range, or choose specialized modes like Sniper or Melee only. There’s also a Mutations mode, similar to Zombies, where you can experience either the Terminator or Hero sub-modes on one of three available maps.
Inventory

The Inventory lets you customize your loadout and character. You can switch between backpacks, equip weapons like the M4A1 and Desert Eagle, and add tactical gear – much like in Call of Duty: Mobile. You can also change your character’s appearance, select different Mutant characters, and modify items and morphs.
Ranked Mode and Season
Similar to games like Call of Duty Mobile, this game features a Ranked Season system. Here, you can track your progress, view rewards, manage your weapons, complete missions, and visit a redemption center. There are 10 ranks in total, and most have multiple tiers to climb, except for the final three.
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Emerald
- Diamond
- Master
- Legend
- Elite Legend
- Top 500

Playing ranked matches lets you unlock weapon skins with varying levels of rarity. However, the most exciting part is the Redemption Center, where you can trade in points for a wide range of cosmetic items – including skins for guns, knives, and even C4 – plus characters like Sun Wukong and others. Keep in mind you’ll need to achieve Legend rank to access these skins.
Event Center
So, the Event Center is where I go to check out everything happening in the game – from the big launch events to those limited-time deals. It’s also where I find missions and important notices. Like, right now with the Legends Crowned event, I can just log in each day to snag some lucky draw tokens. Then I can use those tokens to try and win some awesome stuff like really powerful VVIP Weapons and even Diamonds!

You’ll start with 20 free Tokens, which guarantees you two valuable VVIP skins since every 10 draws awards one. Plus, the limited-time events section has even more opportunities to win skins, Diamonds, and other rewards.
Battle Pass
Crossfire: Legends features battle passes, and the current one, “Reforged for Battle,” is available until March 3, 2026. You can progress by completing weekly challenges and earning BP Experience, which lets you unlock free and premium rewards. Plus, you can trade premium skins and Diamond chests in the Redemption area.
Leaderboard and Collection
There are also two other areas to explore: Collection and Leaderboard. In Collection, you can browse all the different skin series available, such as Origin Revamp, Invincible, and Black Tiger. Completing a full series earns you Diamonds.
The Leaderboard lets you see how you rank globally and against your friends. It also ranks players based on their weapon collections – including Orange, Purple, and VVIP weapons – similar to the ranking system in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).
Crossfire: Legends Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Get used to S&D and TDM first
If you want to get better at this game, focus on mastering Search & Destroy and Team Deathmatch – they form the core of the gameplay. Familiarize yourself with each map, including the bomb sites, good vantage points, and common angles. Understanding when to attack and when to defend will give you a significant edge and help you win more battles.
2. Do aim trainings and take advantage of the aim assist
As a fan of FPS games, I can tell you that aiming is everything. If you want to win fights and consistently beat other players, you really need to nail your aim. I’ve found spending time in the training range helps a lot, or just jumping into a Free-for-All mode to practice. Plus, the aim assist in this game is surprisingly good, which takes some of the pressure off and makes it easier to land your shots.
3. Choose the right layouts and controls

As a player, I’ve found that the map layout really makes a difference – it can either help you win or make things tougher! Luckily, the game gives you three starting layouts, and you can totally customize them to fit how you like to play. I really recommend spending a little time adjusting the sensitivity and controls; it makes a huge difference in how well you perform!
4. Manage your inventory and loadout properly
Try out a variety of guns, close-combat weapons, tactical equipment, and characters before deciding on a favorite combination. Similar to Call of Duty Mobile, choosing the right loadout is key, as some weapons are simply more effective than others.
5. Put more focus on Ranked Matches

As you get better, start playing more Ranked Matches to experience real competition. The best way to improve is by facing stronger players, which will show you where you need to improve. Plus, Ranked Matches offer great rewards you won’t want to miss.
6. Complete missions, try out events, and more

Be sure to check out the Events and Battle Pass – they’re a great way to earn awesome rewards like exclusive items and Diamonds. I even managed to get two rare VVIP skins: AK47-Born Beast-Beta and Anaconda-Born Beast-Beta!
Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed playing Crossfire: Legends. It’s similar to CS:GO with a focus on shooting, but it also includes helpful aim assist and good rewards. Classic game modes like Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy are always a blast, although the early game can feel a bit easy with bots. As you get better, the game becomes much more challenging, so check out this beginner’s guide to get a head start and win!
