Leona Lewis is exciting her fans by announcing her first new album in over ten years, which will be released next year.
The 40-year-old singer, who won The X Factor and currently has a show in Las Vegas, has released five albums. Her most recent album, ‘I Am,’ came out in 2015.
She revealed to The Sun that she’s been quietly working on music in the studio for the last two years. She described it as a passion project and said she intends to release the music next year.
Her most recent album reached Number 12 in the UK and Number 38 in the US, and included the hit singles “Fire Under My Feet,” “I Am,” and “Thunder.”
She’s also released albums like Echo, Spirit, and Glassheart, plus a Christmas album featuring the popular song “One More Sleep.”
Daily Mail have contacted Leona’s reps for further comment.

This news follows Leona’s recent announcement on Instagram that she had to cancel a concert at the last minute due to health problems.
She was scheduled to perform at Voltaire in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, but had to cancel her appearance because she had a sore throat.
Leona was scheduled to perform her ‘A Starry Night Christmas’ show, but after completing an earlier performance despite not feeling well, she felt even worse.
She wrote a message to her fans saying she was very sad to announce that she couldn’t perform at tomorrow night’s show (December 20th).
I’ve had a sore throat for a few days, and trying to perform tonight actually made it feel worse.
I’m taking this time to rest and recover my voice so I can return with a fantastic show for everyone.
Making this decision was really difficult, and I’m so sorry to anyone who was looking forward to attending. I feel terrible about letting you down.
I truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and support. I’m so thankful for each of you and all you do for me, and I love you all very much.

She wrote, ‘I hope to see you again soon,’ and signed the message with ‘xx Leona’.
The singer announced that anyone who bought tickets for the December 20th show, ‘A Starry Night,’ should contact info@voltairelv.com to get a refund or move their tickets to a future date.
The Bleeding Love star was soon flooded with messages of support in the comments box.
One fan shared a message saying they saw the performer last year and thought they were amazing, and wished them a quick recovery.
We’ll always be fans of the incredible Leona! We love you and continue to be inspired by your amazing journey.
‘Feel better soon! We love you,’
You were amazing tonight! I’m sending you lots of good wishes for a quick recovery and hope you feel better soon. Thanks for the hug – it meant a lot.
The hitmaker won the British talent show, X Factor, back in 2006 and catapulted to fame.
