As the year ends in eFootball 2026, KONAMI is launching a special Festive Season event with some great rewards for players. While it takes effort, dedicated players can earn a Festive Season Selection Contract, which guarantees a free Epic player in the game.
Choosing the right player from so many good options can be tough. This guide simplifies the process, helping you pick the best fit for your team and see how each player ranks.
eFootball 2026 Festive Season Selection Contract: List of Players
There are a total of 7 Epic players whom you can pick.
Filippo Inzaghi
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
We were fortunate to get him on the team. This new Epic version of Inzaghi is exactly what fans expect from him in eFootball: he’s constantly moving, has excellent positioning, and always seems to be in the perfect spot.

As you’d expect from a player with his style, he consistently makes runs in behind the opposing defense and gets into dangerous positions in the box. He isn’t much of a ball-handler, but that’s typical for cards like these – they’re not about fancy footwork or holding up the play. Just get him the ball, and he’ll finish the job.
He’s a natural finisher, and it really highlights his ability to perform under pressure. He hasn’t had to drastically change his game – he’s simply improved what he already does well. He’d be a fantastic impact player coming off the bench, in my opinion.
Oliver Kahn
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
- New Showtime Skill: GK Spirit Roar
Oliver Kahn has a new Epic card in the game, but what really makes it special is a brand-new goalkeeper ability called Show Time. A new ability, GK Spirit Roar, is also being introduced, and it’s currently unclear how effective it will be in actual gameplay.

This ability increases the strength of your defenders when you’re winning at halftime and have Kahn as your goalkeeper. While this version of Kahn has good stats – all above 90 – it’s not one of his strongest cards overall and might not be essential for your team.
Even the top-tier Kahn cards have been inconsistent, and a lot of players probably chose him in the Legends Assemble Special Selection pack. This is a good opportunity if you need a strong goalkeeper or want to unlock the GK Spirit Roar.
Javier Zanetti
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
Javier Zanetti is widely considered one of the best fullbacks ever, so many players are surprised he doesn’t have a new card in eFootball 2026 yet. However, that might change soon! The game developers are currently giving away his older, highly-rated card, which was originally released in the Inter pack back in April.

He doesn’t play running back or a traditional defensive fullback role on this team. What I’ve seen is that he’s a real driving force, capable of impacting every aspect of the game while consistently getting back on defense without being vulnerable. He’s well-rounded – a strong tackler, good with the ball, and reliable when building attacks.
Given his position as an Offensive Fullback, I recommend focusing on a balanced build. Slightly improve his passing and dribbling skills, keep his speed around the low 90s, and you’ll have a versatile fullback capable of strong defense, accurate crossing, and playing a full 90 minutes consistently.
Xabi Alonso
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: None
I’ve used this Xabi Alonso card before, and he performs just like a classic playmaker should. The entire card is built around his ability to pass. He has incredible range, making long passes and switching the play feel easy and natural.

He’s confident and composed enough to play further back without getting flustered. However, he’s never been particularly quick, and that hasn’t changed. His acceleration and speed are just average, although you can improve things somewhat with the right setup.
While his endurance could be better, he’s a solid defender who reads the game well and makes tackles at the right moments. However, if your team doesn’t focus on keeping possession, there are more effective defensive midfielders you could consider.
Stefano Fiore
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
- Showtime Skill: None
Wow, it’s already been a year since that New Year Epic Pack dropped! I remember getting this one card in it, and honestly, a lot’s changed in the game since then – especially how many people are playing. But you know what? I still have a blast using Fiore. He felt great when I first got him, and he still does!

I’ve played with this card quite a bit, and I really enjoy using it. He’s strongest when it comes to dribbling and keeping the ball close. Once he gets going, his speed and quickness make him hard to defend against.
I originally developed him to play as a winger, but I was really impressed by his ability to finish scoring chances. He’s surprisingly accurate and efficient inside the penalty area, and he can also shoot powerfully from further out. If we improve his passing, he’ll be able to deliver excellent crosses and through balls into the box as well.
Albert Ferrer
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: None
I haven’t used this Ferrer card yet, but just looking at his stats, he seems like a really unique center-back in the game. What immediately stands out is his incredible speed – both his Speed and Acceleration are well over 90. That puts him in a very select group of players.

This player excels on defense, showing top-tier awareness, tackling, engagement, and aggression. Despite playing as a Destroyer, he’s surprisingly good at distributing the ball and has strong passing abilities. He can also deliver good crosses.
Okay, so his height – 170cm – is definitely the biggest thing to consider. He might struggle in the air against taller forwards, even though his jumping and strength are pretty good. Honestly, I think playing him as a third center-back, a full-back, or even as a defensive midfielder is a much smarter move. That way, he can really excel without constantly being challenged in aerial battles, and I think he’d be fantastic in those roles.
Daniele Massaro
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox in the Box
Massaro looks like a promising player with a unique skillset. While he’s a forward, he’s not easily categorized. He has a surprisingly balanced set of stats, excelling in finishing, offensive awareness, and physical attributes.

If developed correctly, this player can achieve high Speed and Acceleration – both in the 90s – which is a huge benefit for a forward playing in the penalty area. He’s also strong in the air thanks to good Heading and Jump stats, and has a well-rounded shooting ability to finish chances effectively.
Because he’s relatively small, his dribbling stats might not be as important when maneuvering in close quarters. His size could also affect his jumping ability and success in winning headers. However, despite these potential drawbacks, he could be a surprisingly effective player for the right team or coach.
eFootball 2026 Festive Season Selection Contract Tier List and who to choose
Okay! After reviewing our seven picks, here’s my final tier list of players.
| Tier | Players |
|---|---|
| SSS (Overpowered) | NA |
| SS (Very Strong) | Javier Zanetti |
| S (Strong) | Stefano Fiore, Filippo Inzaghi |
| A (Good) | Oliver Kahn, Xabi Alonso, Albert Ferrer, Daniele Massaro |
| B (Average) | NA |
| C (Below Average) | NA |
Looking at our choices, there aren’t any truly outstanding or even just okay options available. Based on past performance, Zanetti is the clear frontrunner. Fiore and Inzaghi are both good choices as well.
