Jules Neale’s shock Instagram comment to former girlfriend emerges after she dropped bombshell about the end of her marriage to AFL star Lachie: ‘You’re embarrassing yourself’

Jules Neale recently publicly criticized a former friend, shortly after revealing surprising details about the end of her marriage to Brisbane Lions captain Lachie Neale.

A 35-year-old hairstylist caused a stir on social media Friday by publicly denying rumors that she and her famous Australian Rules Football player husband were having private troubles.

Instead she revealed that she had been ‘betrayed in the most unimaginable way’.

Okay, so I was totally floored when I saw this post! It happened right after all those rumors started swirling – you know, the ones saying they were secretly trying to fix things? Everyone was whispering about behind-the-scenes efforts, and then BAM! This just dropped. It was like a bomb, honestly, and I’m still reeling from it all. I’ve been following them forever, and this feels… huge.

‘I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything,’ Jules wrote.

‘I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way.

‘All I can do now is to heal and do what’s best for my children,’ she continued.

Shortly after sharing the announcement, Jules removed all pictures of Lachie from her Instagram, effectively deleting over ten years of shared memories. Around the same time, a moving truck was seen at their house in Brisbane.

Following the drama, Jules angrily asked her close friend, Tess Crosley, to take down photos from the Brisbane Lions’ recent grand final win that Tess had posted online.

The post showcased photos from Brisbane’s grand final victory and the subsequent celebrations. Several pictures featured Jules and Lachie on the field and in the locker room, celebrating with their friends.

I was shocked to see screenshots circulating of a comment Jules apparently left. It was directed at someone, asking them to remove some photos, and honestly, it was pretty harsh – they called the person an ‘idiot’ and said they were ’embarrassing themselves.’ It’s really disappointing to see something like that, even if it’s since been deleted.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the story closely, and it’s interesting to see these photos resurface. They were taken before Jules publicly announced her separation, and they really capture a joyful moment – everyone was beaming and hugging, celebrating a huge win. It’s a bittersweet reminder of happier times, honestly.

As of Monday, her friend’s TikTok videos and the pictures with them were still publicly available on their social media profiles.

It looks like Jules and Tess are no longer friends – they’ve unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Tess has also switched off comments on the post after members of the public flooded the account.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Tess.

Neither party has made any public comment on the situation.

Jules and Lachie are parents to two children: Piper, who is four years old, and Freddie, born in December 2024.

Jules celebrated Freddie turning one year old by posting heartfelt photos of her children. Notably, she didn’t include any pictures of, or mention, her other child, Lachie, in the post.

Jules shared that her son is celebrating his first birthday. She wrote that both he and his older sister have shown her the true meaning of love, courage, and happiness.

You’re such a kind and wonderful little boy, Freddie. Thank you for bringing so much joy to my life, even in ways you don’t realize. I feel incredibly lucky to be your mom, and I love you more than anything.

This post was very different from what Jules said earlier this year. Back then, she called her marriage strong and said she and Lachie were close, even with all the attention they received from the public.

In recent months, the couple publicly appeared as a strong team, notably at events like the Brownlow Medal ceremony in September and the Brisbane Lions’ Club Champion awards in October, where they were photographed together, arms linked.

Jules is a well-known personality among Brisbane Lions supporters. She’s gained over 27,000 followers on Instagram by sharing her lifestyle, skills as a hairstylist, and frequent appearances on the Brownlow red carpet.

The relationship has previously been subjected to intense public scrutiny.

In 2021, Jules faced unfair criticism on social media when people speculated that Lachie might return to Western Australia.

Lachie immediately spoke out to support his wife, explaining she’d been targeted with hateful messages and that people were unfairly attacking their character.
