Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son Kyle is arrested for domestic assault months after parents were pardoned by Trump

Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son Kyle Chrisley was arrested in Tennessee on Saturday night.

The 34-year-old son of the stars from Chrisley Knows Best is dealing with several legal issues, including allegations of domestic assault, being drunk in public, and disruptive behavior.

TMZ reports that he’s also facing charges for allegedly attacking a first responder and fighting against being arrested.

Kyle is also said to be facing three charges related to retaliation, which means he may have harmed or threatened someone because of something they did to him in the past.

According to reports, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kyle around 7 p.m. and took him to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

In 2022, Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were found guilty of a $30 million fraud involving a bank and unpaid taxes. They had been in prison for several years when President Donald Trump pardoned them in May.

Kyle has had previous legal issues. In March 2023, he voluntarily surrendered to authorities following a dispute with his manager at Penske Rental Truck in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Todd has five children from two marriages. He and his ex-wife, Teresa Terry, share daughter Lindsie, who is 36, and son Kyle. With his current wife, Julie, he has sons Chase, 29, and Grayson, 19, and daughter Savannah, 28.

In 2016, while Kyle was struggling with addiction and bipolar disorder, his parents, Todd and Julie, were granted full custody of his daughter, Chloe, who was thirteen at the time. Chloe’s mother is Angela Johnson.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen families come together in incredible ways. In Chloe and Grayson’s case, their lives changed dramatically when both their parents faced significant prison sentences – their dad received twelve years, and their mom, seven. Thankfully, their aunt, Savannah, stepped in to become their guardian, providing them with the stability and love they needed during a really tough time.

Kyle and Todd went through a difficult period after Todd’s parents were granted custody of their daughter, but they eventually resolved their differences and rebuilt their relationship.

In July 2021, the son publicly thanked his father on social media, acknowledging the challenges he’d caused and expressing gratitude for his father’s unwavering guidance.

He shared on Instagram that while listening to old country music, George Strait’s song “Love Without End, Amen” reminded him of everything his father has done for him, even after all the trouble he’s caused.

Through all my mistakes, he’s always been there to support and guide me. Todd Chrisley, I love you deeply and I’ll always appreciate your kindness and understanding.

While her parents were behind bars, Savannah campaigned tirelessly for their early release.

At a press conference in May, reporters asked Todd if he regretted his conviction, and he responded with a strong denial of any remorse.

He stated he’d feel guilty if he were responsible. He also believes the issues with corruption in their situation are far from over and will continue to be revealed.

The actor, formerly known for his role on USA Network, and his wife were both found guilty in 2022 of a $30 million fraud involving banks and taxes. They started serving their prison sentences in 2023.

Julie was serving time in Kentucky while Todd was in Florida.

I was so surprised to learn that President Trump personally called the couple’s daughter in late May to share the incredible news – he had decided to grant them clemency. It was a really unexpected turn of events, and a very personal way to deliver such important news.
