Nicky Buckley shocks fans with graphic eye surgery photos as she reveals ‘life-changing’ procedure

Nicky Buckley has shared a confronting glimpse into her recovery after undergoing eye surgery.

The 60-year-old former model and TV host used Instagram on Sunday to let her fans know she’s doing okay, after many of them worried about how she looked.

She shared raw before-and-after photos that show significant bruising and swelling around one eye.

Nicky looked natural and relaxed in the photos, wearing a simple white shirt and with her hair pulled back. She gazed directly into the camera without any makeup on.

A photo labeled ‘yesterday’ shows redness and bruising under her left eye. A second photo, taken ‘today’, shows the swelling had increased overnight, and her eyelid was very puffy and badly discolored.

Along with the pictures, Buckley immediately reassured everyone, saying he was fine and didn’t need any sympathy, writing, ‘No sympathy please – I’m all good.’

I’m sharing this because a lot of people have asked about a procedure I had done. Many others have had it too, and said it really improved their lives. A lot of people also told me they’ve been wanting to try it, but they’re afraid.

Nicky shared that she’d had lens replacement surgery to correct cataracts, and surprisingly, it was the second time she’d had this procedure to improve her vision.

She added that she hoped people who’d had lens replacement or cataract surgery would share their experiences to help others who were thinking about getting it.

Five years ago, Buckley had surgery on one eye to help with her reading, and she said it significantly improved her life, though she still needed glasses sometimes.

She said the procedure was successful and now she can easily read very small text on her phone, in books, or on labels. While this is freeing, she still prefers to wear glasses in dim lighting or when reading in bed.

However, she admitted this latest procedure came with side effects she was not expecting.

She mentioned she didn’t experience bruising or swelling after her first surgery, so she was surprised to have it this time. However, she understands it’s a common side effect and isn’t worried.

‘I must admit I didn’t expect to wake up looking worse today than yesterday.’

Despite the alarming appearance, Buckley reassured followers that she was not in pain.

‘BTW it’s not sore – just feels weird due to swelling,’ she added.

The actor recently had surgery to correct her distance vision, as her eyesight had gotten much worse over the past few years.

She also revealed she is now facing several weeks of enforced downtime as part of her recovery.

‘No make-up or swimming or gym or golf for about 4 weeks which will be hard,’ she admitted.

Buckley urged people who’d had the same surgery to talk about their journeys, explaining that it’s a fairly common procedure that can really improve someone’s life.

She finished by saying that people are welcome to share their findings, as this process can be incredibly helpful and is something many people do.
