Disney Begins Casting for New Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live Show at Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World is holding auditions for performers for a new live stage show, ‘Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!’. The show will premiere in the summer of 2026 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

Show Overview

As a huge Mickey Mouse fan, I was so excited when the new show debuted on May 16, 2025, at Disney California Adventure! It’s a really cool update that builds on both the classic Mickey Mouse Clubhouse we all grew up with (from 2006 to 2016) and the more recent 2025 revival, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse are throwing a party at the clubhouse, but their friends Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Pluto are missing! With help from a human friend, Mickey and Minnie set off on an adventure to find them and bring them back to the fun. The show features catchy new songs and gets young viewers involved with interactive games and activities.

As a big Disney fan, I’m excited to hear about the new show coming to Hollywood Studios! It’s taking over the Animation Courtyard theater, which used to host other awesome Disney Junior experiences like ‘Disney Jr. Dance Party!’, ‘Disney Jr. Live on Stage’, and ‘Disney Jr. Play and Dance’. I always enjoyed those, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do with this next one!

Wider Context: The Reimagined Studio Lot

Adding Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is one step in a bigger plan to redesign the Animation Courtyard and make it feel like a real Walt Disney Studios lot. Disney calls this a “reimagining” – they want to create a more immersive experience for families and give guests a look behind the scenes at how animation is made.

The newly updated area will include an improved version of The Magic of Disney Animation, with hands-on exhibits that show how Disney films are made. Guests will also be able to meet and interact with beloved Disney characters.

Disney is focusing on making these updates both fun and educational. The new design will feature hands-on activities, areas for live performances, and engaging visual displays. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at how shows are created, including things like set design, artwork, and character creation, all while enjoying the performance.

The changes happening at the Hollywood Studios studio lot are part of a larger effort across Disney parks to refresh older areas with new things to see and do. Disney is combining live shows, like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, with exhibits centered around animation to give families a more complete and engaging experience when they visit.

Wider Context: Attractions for Smaller Kids

A new show is coming to fill the void left when Disney Jr. Play and Dance! closed in September 2025. That show was a popular, low-key indoor entertainment option for toddlers and preschoolers. Its closure was part of a larger renovation of the Animation Courtyard, which used to be home to several experiences for young children. This has created a need for more family-friendly attractions at Hollywood Studios, as it currently has fewer options for very young children compared to other Disney parks.

I’m so excited to hear Disney’s plans for the area! They’re reopening it in summer 2026 as the Walt Disney Studios Lot, and they’re bringing back The Magic of Disney Animation, but with a whole new look. Plus, Hollywood Studios is adding an amazing indoor playground themed after Alice in Wonderland – it sounds like a dream come true!

Conclusion

The show offers a fresh experience for families with young children. Disney believes the interactive elements and beloved characters will capture kids’ attention.

More information about showtimes, how many people the theaters can hold, and how it fits with the new studio grounds will be available nearer the summer 2026 launch.
