George Clarke faced a major setback on Saturday, just before the Strictly Come Dancing finale.
The 26-year-old YouTuber from Bristol was the favorite to win for most of the competition, but betting odds now show him in second place at 7/4.
Karen Carney has become the clear favorite to win the Glitterball Trophy, and is now heavily favored at odds of 4/9, surpassing previous contenders.
Love Island’s Amber Davies is a long shot at 40/1, but a surprise win isn’t out of the question this weekend.
According to Alex Apati of Ladbrokes, George is now unlikely to win the Glitterball Trophy, despite being the frontrunner for most of the competition. The latest betting odds suggest he’s faltered near the end.
He’ll compete against Karen and Amber on Saturday night for the championship.

Before the show airs, Tom Skinner spoke out about leaving Strictly Come Dancing early, saying he’s getting legal advice because he believes BBC officials manipulated the official vote counts.
Okay, so I was obsessed with this guy from The Apprentice, he was 34, and honestly, everyone was already talking about him before the show even started because of his really strong political opinions. It was a disaster, though! I was so shocked – he was the first one voted off, back in October! I just couldn’t believe it, I really thought he’d go further!
He announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he won’t be attending tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing final, as reported in the news.
First, I wanted to share that I spoke with my dance partner, Amy Dowden, to get her okay with me not being able to attend.
She’s become a really good friend, and I’d always be there for her. I was so excited when I was offered the chance to be on Strictly Come Dancing back in April.
It’s not about having any dance skills – I definitely don’t! I just wanted to challenge myself and try something totally new.
Thomas now believes he can demonstrate he received more votes from the public, which would have kept him from having to compete in the dance-off.
The TV personality explained that after leaving the show, they received an anonymous email claiming to be from someone at the BBC. The email contained viewing figures suggesting they had received significantly more votes than were publicly reported, and the sender implied something wasn’t right. They later had the email’s authenticity confirmed by an independent source.

The email also said the BBC was upset and worried because I’d met JD Vance, who is now the Vice President of the USA. To be clear, I don’t consider myself a political person – I’ve never been involved in politics. I simply care deeply about my country and am proud to be a patriot.
The media has portrayed me as a political person, but honestly, anyone in my position would have jumped at the same chance I had.
Honestly, it still blows my mind! As someone who built a business selling mattresses right out of a van, it feels surreal to now call someone so prominent in global politics a friend. It just goes to show you never know where life will take you, right?
As a longtime fan, I requested the official vote counts to verify the numbers I received in an email, but I was informed they’re never released – not even to viewers, as far as I understand. It seems this has been the policy throughout the show’s entire run.
I discussed the email with senior colleagues and the BBC welfare team – who I have a lot of respect for, by the way. They actually suggested I seek legal advice, as they felt the situation was very unfair. It wasn’t my initial thought to get a lawyer.
Little touches also contributed to the overall atmosphere. Each attendee received a welcome gift – things like skincare samples and face masks. It turned out mine was the only one that went missing.

By itself, it wasn’t a big deal, but combined with everything else, it felt really odd. Being on this show has led people to believe I’m someone I’m not.
Public opinion was shaped by inaccurate or overblown stories in the media over the summer. What happened to my family and me wasn’t right, and I want to state this very carefully.
Since learning and confirming this information, a high-ranking BBC executive has stepped down. I’m not suggesting my involvement, but the timing felt strange.
Honestly, it was a shock when the main hosts left the very next week. I’m not suggesting there’s any connection to me, but the timing is just… strange. I’m just being truthful about how it feels. And truthfully, I really didn’t want any of this becoming public knowledge.
I’ve been really struggling with a lot of false and exaggerated stories about me that have been circulating lately. It’s been difficult to process, and honestly, it’s hurtful to hear things that aren’t true about my life.
It’s odd to me that a private Zoom meeting with BBC leaders on Wednesday, where we discussed future plans, became public news by Thursday morning.
This means someone must have shared the information with the media, because I certainly didn’t. I suspect it might be the same person who emailed me. Honestly, I didn’t want any of this to become public, and I definitely didn’t want it to become a national story.
I wanted to clear the air about why I won’t be there. I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone to assume I’m upset or holding a grudge – that’s honestly not the case at all! I just want to be upfront and honest about my reasons.
I’m just tired of hearing made-up stories. I’m not trying to get famous or cause a scene, and I’m definitely not claiming I deserved to win. Let’s be honest, everyone knows I wasn’t a great dancer.
Whether you like me or not, you have to admit I’m popular. I can’t even go to the grocery store without people stopping me for pictures!
I believe everyone deserves a fair chance and to be treated with respect. I’m wishing all the dancers tonight the best – they’ve worked incredibly hard and deserve to shine. For me, it’s back to my fish stall and, most importantly, spending time with my family, who mean everything to me. Thank you all for your continued support. That’s all from me!
