Gwyneth Paltrow said her nepo baby daughter Apple Martin could ‘follow in her footsteps’.
Gwyneth Paltrow, 53, and her ex-husband, Chris Martin, 48, of Coldplay, have two children: a 21-year-old daughter named Apple and a 19-year-old son named Moses.
Although she’s currently in law school, the oldest daughter is exploring both of her parents’ professions – acting and music.
She began her modeling career earlier this year, appearing in a GapStudio campaign alongside her mother, Gwyneth.
Gwyneth Paltrow told The Mirror she believes Apple Martin will eventually pursue a similar career path to her own.
She’s in college studying to be a lawyer right now, which is great, but honestly? I just know she’s going to end up doing what I do. I can just feel it! It’s like, she’s exploring options, but deep down, she’ll come around. I’m so sure of it!

Honestly, it’s just… you can’t force your passions onto anyone, especially kids. You have to let them discover what they love, you know? It’s like, you can offer guidance, but you can’t smother them with what you think is best. They need to find their own way, their own inspiration. It’s so important to just let them be, and not push your own ideas onto them!
The model is a student at Vanderbilt University, where she’s majoring in law, history, and society, as she shared with Interview magazine earlier this year.
She’s also enjoying acting as a hobby and is currently performing with the Vanderbilt Original Cast, a well-respected cabaret group. Their current show is a musical comedy based on the reality TV show Love Island, titled Love on an Island, and she says it’s a lot of fun with fantastic songs.
Ever since Apple joined her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, for a GapStudio campaign earlier this year, people have accused her of achieving success only because of her family connections.
She continued her success by working with the London fashion brand Self-Portrait, appearing in her first photoshoot for them.
Despite past criticism for benefiting from her advantages, the model recently worked with renowned photographer Ryan McGinley on a photoshoot at a farm in upstate New York.
Mel Ottenberg styled Apple’s outfit, choosing pieces from the brand’s newest collection. These included a long white lace and satin dress, as well as a silver sequinned dress that faded from light to dark.
The beautiful model, currently a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, recently had her first photoshoot after becoming a brand ambassador.

It felt natural to start with Self-Portrait – their designs really capture a British vibe that instantly reminded me of my London upbringing, and it’s felt like a perfect fit ever since.
I absolutely love the collections – they’re beautiful and really relatable! Han and the team made me feel included in the creative process from the start, and I’m enjoying learning so much. I can’t wait for everyone to see this campaign and for us to keep collaborating and exploring my creative side together.
I was so excited to see Apple venture into music last October! It felt like a beautiful tribute to her father, as she finally made her singing debut. It was lovely to witness her follow her own path while honoring his legacy.
After videos of her performance surfaced online, many viewers criticized it, comparing it to a poor karaoke rendition. This led to accusations that she benefited from nepotism rather than talent.
People online heavily criticized the celebrity’s singing, with many claiming she didn’t share the musical gift of her famous father from Coldplay.
Although she performed on stage with Jade Street at Cannery Hall in Nashville, her singing was criticized and compared to someone doing karaoke while intoxicated.
TikTok users are expressing frustration with nepotism in the arts. Comments included statements like ‘Nepotism is ruining creativity,’ and ‘I can’t get behind this example of someone benefiting from family connections.’ Many are also wondering if people are tired of seeing the same patterns of privilege.

Although people loved the video on Instagram, some TikTok users were much more critical of it.
Coldplay has won seven Grammy Awards and nine Brit Awards, and they’ve sold over 160 million records globally. Additionally, Chris Martin’s mother is also a talented singer, having performed in the films Duets, Country Strong, and Infamous.
Many people accused Apple of showing favoritism after her performance of the song “Satellite,” which featured Jade Street.
The model looked stylish on stage with her white crop top, black mini skirt, and knee-high boots, but her singing didn’t quite measure up.
