eFootball 2026 Epic European Clubs Guardians (Desailly, Vieira, Cafu) pack review

Okay, so I just opened the new European Clubs Guardians pack in eFootball 2026, and it’s got some legends! We’re talking Marcel Desailly, Patrick Vieira, and Cafu. As a fan, I was really curious if these players were worth getting – either by spinning for them or spending my coins. I went all in on the pack, and here’s what I think after giving it a try.

Marcel Desailly

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: The Destroyer
  • Showtime Skill: Aerial Fort and Fortress

The new Desailly card is a real game-changer, putting pressure on opponents. Despite being a Destroyer-type card, he doesn’t just rush in blindly. When he challenges for the ball, it often results in you regaining possession. It’s hard to describe exactly, but he’s aggressive in a smart, controlled way.

Aerial Fort excels in midfield battles, particularly when challenging for long passes and rebounds. His height isn’t a disadvantage, and he’s quite adaptable. He’d be even more effective with the Long Range Tackle skill, as he already has exceptional leg reach.

Let’s talk about speed. While it’s already clear he’s one of the fastest cornerbacks in the game, he can easily achieve over 90 in both Speed and Acceleration without compromising his excellent defensive stats.

When thinking about similar players, Thuram, another French international, comes to mind. Specifically, his time at Barcelona is a good comparison – he was excellent in every area, surpassed only by Nesta. If you’re building a player with similar attributes, giving them skills like ‘Acrobatic Clearance’ and ‘One Touch Pass’ would be ideal.

Patrick Vieira

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: The Destroyer
  • Showtime Skill: Fortress and Phenomenal Pass

Although Desailly was often the first choice, many people were really excited about Vieira. He’s a fantastic defensive midfielder, and his stats are incredible considering his player profile. However, I don’t think this is his best card, and I’ll explain why shortly.

He dominates the midfield, constantly covering the entire pitch. Just his presence alters how opponents approach those battles. As a defensive midfielder, he’s particularly strong at intercepting passes, and his game intelligence helps him consistently find himself in the right position to do so.

He’s currently performing very well in all areas, and the Phenomenal Pass skill is a big help, even when he doesn’t earn many progression points. However, I believe he could be even better if he had the Long Reach Tackle ability.

That’s a good strategy – saving this for future cards, and the same applies to Desailly. The Phenomenal Pass skill would be amazing on this card, hopefully we’ll get it someday. If you’ve already unlocked this card, make sure to equip him with the Through Passing skill.

Cafu

  • Position: RB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
  • Showtime Skill: Edged Crossing

I chose Cafu over the other two players for different reasons. While they’re both known for their physical strength, Cafu stands out as a more skillful and exciting defender. He’s a very effective card, and even though his defensive stats are a little lower, he’s consistently a strong presence on the right side, always making runs forward and quickly recovering on defense if needed.

I’ve been watching him play, and I really like how he makes those runs into space – he consistently gets into great spots to deliver a cross. Honestly, I think his passing needs a boost in the auto-build; it feels a little too diluted with everything else.

He might struggle to completely shut down top-level wingers on his own, but he’s quick enough to usually recover and correct any errors. As for in-game skills, Double Touch is a good offensive choice, while Blocker and Acrobatic Clearance are effective on defense.

Best pick from the European Clubs Guardians pack in eFootball 2026

This pack is a great choice if you’re looking to strengthen your midfield and defense. All three players are excellent options, and the value they bring to those positions is well worth the cost if you have enough coins.
