Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, 77, ‘splits’ from girlfriend, 38… 13 years after he hired her as his assistant

Steven Tyler has split from his girlfriend of 11 years, according to a Friday report from TMZ.

The 77-year-old musician and Aimee Preston, 38, split up sometime earlier this year, according to reports.

I was so worried after reading that article, but then the site quickly posted an update! They said a source close to the couple told them everything is actually okay and they’re still doing great together. It definitely eased my mind!

They were last spotted showing affection on the red carpet in February at a party celebrating the GRAMMY Awards, held at the Hollywood Palladium.

They were known for kissing, hugging and holding hands on red carpets. 

Tyler and the beauty expert first connected in 2012 when he employed her as his assistant, though they didn’t become romantically involved until 2014.

Daily Mail has reached out to his rep for comment but did not immediately hear back. 

She stayed by his side in May 2022 when he went back to rehab.

I was so worried when I heard about Steven’s setback. It turns out the pain meds he was prescribed after his foot surgery caused a relapse. Thankfully, he immediately took the responsible step of entering treatment to prioritize his health. It meant Aerosmith had to postpone some of their shows in Vegas that year, but honestly, seeing him focus on getting better is all that matters. We all support him and are sending him our best wishes!

Tyler has a long history with addiction and sobriety.

Aerosmith’s lead singer is well-known as the father of actress Liv Tyler. Her mother is model Bebe Buell.

Steven and his ex-wife Cyrinda Foxe, who divorced in 1987,  share a daughter Mia Tyler.

He has two children: a daughter, Chelsea Anna Tallarico, and a son, Taj Monroe Tallarico. He and their mother, Teresa Barrick, separated in 2005.

Steven and Erin Brady were once engaged, but they ended their relationship in January 2013. He later met Aimee.

During a game of ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’ on James Corden’s Late Late Show in 2018, Steven was asked if he had ever flirted with any of his daughter Liv’s famous friends.

He admitted with a laugh: ‘Yes I have. And I got a lot of s**t for it too.’

He shared a story about sitting next to Cameron Diaz – now married to Benji Madden – in a van after a party hosted by Stella McCartney. He remembered looking at her and thinking she was beautiful.

I asked Cameron if he ever needed a ride to the movies, or if I could ask him to show me around London sometime.
