Tom Hardy’s Hit Action Movie With 97% RT Score To Leave Netflix

The action-packed film Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, is leaving Netflix soon. It’s the fourth movie in the Mad Max series. George Miller directed the film, writing the screenplay with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also directed the first two Mad Max films and co-directed the third one.

Mad Max: Fury Road is leaving Netflix next month

Starting January 1, 2026, Mad Max: Fury Road will no longer be available on Netflix. Other films leaving the service on the same day include Blue Beetle, 8 Mile, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, 47 Ronin, Doctor Sleep, and Crazy Rich Asians.

While the critically acclaimed action film Mad Max: Fury Road isn’t currently available on Netflix, subscribers can still enjoy other popular action movies like Conan the Destroyer and Man on Fire.

Mad Max: Fury Road is set in a harsh, post-apocalyptic desert. Tom Hardy played Max Rockatansky in this film, taking over the role previously made famous by Mel Gibson. More recently, Jacob Tomuri portrayed Max in the 2024 prequel, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Bren Foster provided the voice for the character in the 2015 Mad Max video game.

I’m so excited about the cast for this movie! Of course, Tom Hardy is fantastic, but Charlize Theron is going to be amazing as Imperator Furiosa. And Nicholas Hoult as Nux? Perfect casting! We’ve also got Hugh Keays-Byrne playing Immortan Joe, Josh Helman as Slit, Nathan Jones as Rictus Erectus, and Zoë Kravitz as Toast the Knowing – it’s a really strong ensemble, I think!

Mad Max: Fury Road was a critical and commercial success, earning a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 439 reviews. However, the recent film, Furiosa, didn’t perform as strongly at the box office. Despite this, director George Miller has hinted at the possibility of making another Fury Road sequel (according to Vulture).
