After eight years of trying, Sir Cliff Richard has sold his Barbados vacation home, but he had to accept £1 million less than he originally asked for.
The large property first went on the market in 2017 for £6.8 million, but when it didn’t sell, the owners even tried renting it out as a vacation rental.
The real estate agents managing the sale have now marked the property as ‘under offer,’ meaning an offer has been accepted, for a price of £5.91 million – a reduction from the original asking price.
Coral Sundown is a beautiful property with six private bathrooms, each offering a view of the Caribbean Sea. It also features a bar, a swimming pool, and a covered terrace, all situated on a spacious 2.6-acre lot.
After having trouble finding a buyer, 85-year-old Sir Cliff decided to rent out his six-bedroom house on Airbnb for £3,000 per night.
Oh, it was his place, and he was so particular! He had these rules, you know? Absolutely no pets allowed, no parties – can you believe it?! – and definitely no smoking. It was a bit much, honestly, but you had to respect his space, I guess. It just meant I couldn’t bring my cat, which killed me, but I still wanted to stay there so badly!

As a long-time fan of Sir Cliff, I was thrilled to read about his incredible villa, Coral Sundown! Country & Town House magazine recently featured it, and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s located within the super-exclusive Sugar Hills Tennis Resort and Sir Cliff has owned it for an amazing 23 years – it really is a special place.
The property is truly stunning, featuring three acres of beautifully maintained gardens and grounds, plus a swimming pool, sun deck, and tennis court.
The house features six bedrooms, each with its own private balcony. It also has a spacious kitchen and dining area, plus several living areas including a home theater and a fully stocked bar.
Our property boasts stunning landscaping, including tall palm trees leading up to a gorgeous six-bedroom mansion. It’s currently home to a well-known British singer!
Sir Cliff recently shared that he’s been quietly receiving treatment for prostate cancer for the last year.
He discovered he had the condition during a routine health checkup for insurance purposes, which he needed before starting a concert tour in Australia and New Zealand.
The singer was talking with Dermot Murnaghan, a seasoned broadcaster who is 67 years old and is currently battling stage four prostate cancer.
Sir Cliff announced that his cancer is currently in remission and supports the idea of a national cancer screening program for men. He feels it’s unacceptable that such a program doesn’t already exist.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Sir Cliff expressed uncertainty about whether the issue will resurface, but stressed the importance of getting tested and checked for it. He believes it’s crucial for people to take those steps.
Fortunately, the condition was caught early, and it hadn’t spread to other parts of the body, like the bones.
The singer, famous for decades of popular songs like ‘The Young Ones’, ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’, and ‘Summer Holiday’, called the absence of a national screening program ‘completely absurd’.
Sir Cliff questioned how anyone could claim they can help some people but not others, given that governments are meant to care for everyone in the country, saying, “It doesn’t make sense to say we can do things for some, but not for these people.”
‘We all deserve to have the same ability to have a test and then start treatments really early.
I’ve only been dealing with cancer for a year, but in every conversation I’ve had about it, the need for government attention has been a common theme. I believe our government needs to listen to what people are saying.
