Telling sign AFL star Lachie Neale and wife Jules’ relationship is in serious trouble after it was revealed they are ‘working through issues’

A telling sign has emerged that Lachie Neale and wife Jules‘ marriage may be in serious trouble.

A freelance hairstylist has unfollowed her 32-year-old husband, who is a professional Australian Rules Football player, on Instagram. He continues to follow her account, however.

What’s particularly noticeable is that Jules recently posted a collection of photos marking their son Freddie’s first birthday, but didn’t include or mention Lachie in any way.

The two were last seen together on social media in a post from November 10th, sharing photos from their vacation at a resort in Perth.

The couple married in November 2018 and have two children. They later moved to Brisbane after Neale was traded from Fremantle to the Lions.

I’m hearing from a reliable source at The Herald Sun that things aren’t entirely smooth sailing for the couple right now. They’re reportedly dealing with a private issue and working to get through it, but they’re keeping the details to themselves.

The outlet added that Jules may have also returned home to Perth.

Neale has featured on Jules’ Instagram only a handful of times in recent months.

In November, the family took a trip to Palm Beach on the Gold Coast for a vacation with loved ones.

The couple celebrated their son Freddie’s first birthday two days ago.

However, Jules did not include a picture of Lachie in any of the images from the celebration.

Today, my little boy is one year old! Watching him and his amazing big sister grow has completely changed my life. They’ve shown me the true meaning of love, and they inspire me with their courage and bring so much joy to my days. I couldn’t be prouder.

You’re such a kind person, Freddie. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me, even when you didn’t realize it.

‘I’m so lucky to be your mumma and I love you beyond words x.’

The coach who led Brisbane to consecutive championships in September had previously spoken highly of his wife earlier in the year.

‘Jules does an amazing job,’ Neale told The Courier Mail.

‘I’m just so thankful to have her by my side.

She supports me in balancing my commitments to both football and my family, letting me focus on improving my game and taking on the responsibilities of being a team leader.

‘She’s the reason I am able to do what I do while she holds down the fort at home. ‘

After winning his second Brownlow Medal back in 2023 Neale had also described Jules as ‘his rock’.
