James Argent, known as ‘Arg,’ looked incredibly happy as he smiled and enjoyed time with friends at Sheesh, a popular restaurant in Essex.

A video shared on social media last night showed reality star James Argent from The Only Way Is Essex dancing and singing with his friend Dan Edgar, surrounded by a cheerful crowd. He seemed carefree and happy, and someone who didn’t know him might assume he had no worries.

However, the reality of the situation is quite different. Just a few months ago, he was in the news following a violent attack on his former girlfriend, Nicoline Artursson, which shocked those who knew him.

He received a six-month suspended jail sentence in May for a domestic violence incident. According to court documents, he pushed Nicoline down a staircase during an argument outside her apartment in Spain, causing cuts and bruises to her neck, arms, hand, and leg.

According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Argent, who earned £5,000 per week last year, was ordered to pay Nicoline only £250 in damages. He also received a two-year restraining order to protect the 32-year-old fashion model, and the court mandated he complete a program focused on gender-based violence.

Now that the celebrity is working to get his life back on track, his supportive friends from the show have publicly shown their support.

People in Essex who know Argent have been telling the Daily Mail for months that he’s a genuinely good person. Following a recent violent event, one person even pleaded with our entertainment team to publish positive stories about him.
