Lydia Millen, now known for her stylish countryside lifestyle, didn’t always present the polished image she has today.
These days, you’ll often find the 37-year-old dressed casually in a Barbour jacket with a cozy cashmere sweater, or looking glamorous in a ballgown with beautifully styled hair.
This is quite a change from her younger days, when she’d confidently pose in outfits like a shiny halter top, high socks, and revealing underwear, completing the look with straight, dark hair and dramatic eyeliner.
Lydia doesn’t let comparisons bother her. Despite attempts by some critics to reveal details about her past, she responds with humor, stating she’s proud of her background and has nothing to be ashamed of.
Lydia frequently posts photos of her beautifully decorated home in Northamptonshire, which is worth around £2 million. It features calming sage green walls, a cozy farmhouse style, and a meticulously maintained garden.
She lives there with her husband, Ali Gordon, who is also a content creator, along with their pets: two dogs named Porter and Berkeley, a cat named Lumi, a horse named Atlas, and nine chickens.
But she is just as proud of the ex council house they bought a decade ago in Milton Keynes.

The popular online creator, who blogs about fashion, fitness, lifestyle, and travel, recently posted a before-and-after photo of her home’s front yard on social media, reminiscing about how much it had changed after she renovated it.
Lydia, inspired by the natural world and the changing seasons, has gained a loyal following of over 4 million people who value her honest views. Together with Ali, they are estimated to be worth £10 million.
Lydia responded to criticism by pointing out that everything people are saying about her past is information she willingly made public. She emphasized that they aren’t revealing anything new or exposing any secrets.
Her career is really taking off. She’s now collaborated with major brands like Oscar de la Renta, FRASERS, and Space NK.
Lydia has been recognized in major publications like Vogue, ELLE, Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, and Marie Claire. She’s also dedicated to supporting causes she cares about, including The King’s Trust and The King’s Foundation.
Her first book, Evergreen, was a success, selling 40,000 copies. She’s also worked with popular brands like Sweed in the beauty industry, and fashion leaders Karen Millen, Fairfax and Favor, and Holland Cooper.

Lydia didn’t inherit her success; she built it herself. Starting at age 13 by teaching herself to code websites, she worked hard to achieve her current position.
Born in Watford, she spent her childhood moving between her parents’ houses in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire.
Although Lydia now has a choice of luxury vehicles like Range Rovers and sports cars, she still remembers her first car – a Vauxhall Corsa she bought from a dealership in Croxley Green 21 years ago – with a lot of affection.
People are also very interested in Lydia’s romantic life. She and Ali started dating officially in 2012.
They got engaged in December 2016 and married a year later, in December 2017, at Aynhoe Park in Northamptonshire.
Oh my gosh, I remember when I first discovered Lydia! It was way back in 2011 – she was just a college student studying marketing, but she already had this amazing blog where she shared her style and life. That’s when it all started, really – she was influencing people even then, and I was totally hooked!
She started blogging by showcasing secondhand treasures she discovered at charity shops, along with creative ways she revamped old clothes and styled outfits.
Lydia started vlogging in 2014 and two years later she went full-time as an influencer.
After turning thirty, she began creating content focused on rural life, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.
As someone who’s been in the lifestyle space for over 15 years, I’m incredibly proud of where I started. While my work now often focuses on luxury experiences, I’ll always cherish my beginnings and the journey that got me here.
