Rihanna was told to behave while in Las Vegas and she didn’t take it too well.
During Mariah Carey’s concert at the Dolby Theater in Las Vegas on December 13th, a fan was thrilled by the performance and couldn’t help but stand up and dance.
The singer from Barbados was sitting in a way that blocked the view for the person behind her, making it difficult to see the performer of ‘All I Want For Christmas’ on stage.
While Mariah Carey performed “We Belong Together,” Rihanna was enthusiastically waving and blowing kisses to her, creating a noticeable distraction.
The fan told Rihanna to sit down which can be seen in a video that has gone viral.

The famous singer, who shares three children with A$AP Rocky, didn’t apologize. Instead, she responded with a sharp, ‘Oh, wow!’
The songbird also did not sit down and she kept on dancing like a wild teenager.
It’s shocking that someone would tell Rihanna to sit down while she was excitedly watching Mariah Carey perform – she was clearly a fan!
People had different reactions to the incident. Some thought it was impolite of Rihanna to stand, while others felt she was free to do as she pleased.
Daily Mail has reached out to both Rihanna’s and Carey’s reps for comment.
The Christmas show was held from November 28 until December 13 in Las Vegas.
Rihanna is clearly a fan of Mariah Carey, having attended her December 2024 concert in Brooklyn, New York, and multiple other shows in the past.
Backstage at a concert, Mariah Carey playfully signed Rihanna’s chest with a red marker. Rihanna exclaimed it was an ‘iconic’ moment, joking that Mariah Carey was signing her breast.
When asked if she often signs people’s body parts at her shows, Carey replied, ‘Not really.’
She explained that the fan’s autograph ended up ‘sometimes on someone’s arm or something,’ calling it a special experience and expressing their admiration for Rihanna. Rihanna mentioned she considered getting the autograph permanently inked as a tattoo, but it’s unclear if she actually went through with it.

This happened right after it was announced that Carey will be performing at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
The hugely popular singer will be the first big name performer at the opening ceremony of the Games, taking place at the San Siro stadium in Milan on February 6th.
Mariah announced the news in a video message, saying, ‘Hello! Get excited for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. I’ll see you at the San Siro Stadium on February 6th for the opening ceremony. See you in Milan!’
The local organizing committee has also announced Mariah’s appearance at the opening ceremony.
The committee explained that Mariah Carey perfectly captures the excitement and feelings leading up to the Games.
Music speaks to everyone, bringing together diverse experiences and feelings, and perfectly complements the ceremony’s message of unity.

As someone who’s observed a lot of stars over the years, I find it fascinating when success doesn’t necessarily translate to self-awareness. Mariah Carey, for example – she’s sold millions of records and is a true icon – but she’s actually said she’s not always sure how the public sees her. It’s a reminder that even at the top, understanding your own image can be surprisingly tricky.
In an interview with Variety, she said she hopes people can appreciate her sense of humor and not take her too seriously. She described herself as playful and not always serious, and admitted she’s unsure how the public perceives her.
You know, I was chatting with Ellen the other day, and it really got me thinking. She asked what I thought the biggest misunderstanding about me was, and honestly, I drew a blank! It’s funny, but I truly have no idea what people generally think about me – I’m completely in the dark on that one.
Mariah also suggested that she has a public persona that’s distinct from her real-life self.
The singer, 56, admitted she exaggerates her glamorous image with diamonds, hair, makeup, and outfits. However, she questions how much of that persona is genuinely her. While she’d happily accept a new diamond bracelet, she insists material possessions aren’t everything to her.
