Minnie Driver’s REAL name is revealed and the reason why it was changed ahead of her Emily In Paris debut

Minnie Driver’s birth name was recently made public, along with the story behind why she chose her stage name, just before her first appearance on the show Emily in Paris.

Though most people know her as Minnie, the 55-year-old actress was originally born with a different name.

Her name comes from a childhood nickname given to her by her sister, Kate.

Minnie was born Amelia Fiona J. Driver and raised in Barbados until she was six-years-old.

She began her film career playing Benny in the 1995 movie Circle of Friends, and later appeared in popular films like Good Will Hunting and Tarzan.

Minnie will soon be appearing in the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris as Princess Jane, a friend of Sylvie who is now married to royalty.

In the fifth season, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) will divide her time between Paris and Rome. She’s navigating a new romance while also working to launch Agence Grateau’s new office in Rome.

Fans of the Netflix show Emily in Paris were shocked earlier this month when they noticed a big surprise in photos hinting at what will happen in the fifth season.

Netflix shared 20 behind-the-scenes photos hinting at what viewers can expect for the main character’s storyline in Rome.

While she’s settling into life in Italy with Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini, drama is unfolding back in Paris.

While Emily is gone, her best friend Mindy seems to be developing a romantic connection with one of Emily’s former boyfriends.

A picture from Netflix shows Mindy kissing Emily’s ex, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), suggesting a romantic connection.

In the 2022 season finale of Emily In Paris, Emily and Alfie broke up because Alfie felt like he wasn’t Emily’s priority, especially with her feelings for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

In season five, Emily is now running the Paris office of Grateau and navigating both work and love as she settles into life in a new city.

Just when things seem to be going well, a project goes wrong, leading to personal and professional difficulties.

Emily finds comfort and security in her life in France, but a major secret puts one of her most important friendships at risk.

By addressing disagreements openly and honestly, Emily strengthens her relationships, gains a clearer understanding of things, and feels prepared to pursue new opportunities.

Emily in Paris season five will drop on Netflix on December 18.
