Spider-Man 4 Updates Give Trailer Release Date Window, Praise Practical Stunts

What is the latest on the Spider-Man 4 trailer?

During a recent discussion on The Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez, a source with inside information, was asked about the potential release of a trailer for the movie. Perez suggested a trailer will probably come out sometime next year, and hinted it could be around February, possibly coinciding with the Super Bowl.

Perez mentioned the movie is focusing on practical effects and highlighted some impressive action sequences he’s already witnessed during development.

Perez praised the stunt coordinators, calling the action sequences some of the best Spider-Man has ever shown. He highlighted a particularly impressive, unbroken shot that clearly draws inspiration from previous Spider-Man directors like Sam Raimi and Marc Webb. According to Perez, this Spider-Man is a highly skilled fighter who has fully mastered his powers and Spider-Sense, to the point where the performance reminds him of Jackie Chan’s incredible physicality.

Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of the 2021 Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He was previously considered to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty but left the project in November 2023.

Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming movie. Emmy-winning actress Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also likely to reprise their roles in the sequel.

I’m so excited to hear that Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear, Jon Bernthal, and Ben Foster are all going to be in the movie too! And the people producing it – Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad – have such amazing track records, so I have really high hopes for this project.

The next Spider-Man movie is scheduled to come out in U.S. cinemas on July 31, 2026, before the releases of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
