Julia Roberts, 58, is almost unrecognizable in rare makeup-free photo

Julia Roberts looked radiant in a new photo she posted to Instagram on Monday, which was seen by her 13.4 million followers.

The actress, 58, recently talked about cancel culture with Sean Penn, and a new photo shows her looking quite different without makeup.

She showed off her smooth, wrinkle-free, bare complexion while touting a friend’s new book.

My friend, photographer Alexi Lubomirski, has released a stunning new book called Natura Sacra. All the money earned from the book will be donated to the charity Hope and Play (HopeandPlay.org), as she shared in her post.

Her blonde-highlighted locks were parted at the center and framed her face in textured waves.

The photo of the mom, who has three children, shows her wearing a comfortable, light grey sweater. It has already received over 91,000 likes.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was living for the new Variety Actors on Actors! Julia Roberts and Sean Penn talked, and it was everything! They worked together on ‘Gaslit’ from 2022, and just hearing them chat about it was amazing. Seriously, I could listen to them talk forever!

They talked about her Me-Too film, After The Hunt, and shared their views on cancel culture and a perceived lack of accountability in modern society.

The film centers on a college professor, Roberts, whose brightest student accuses a fellow professor of sexual assault. This accusation brings a hidden trauma from the professor’s own past into the light.

It unpacks what happens when loyalty and friendship are challenged by ethics and morality.

Penn commented that the film is a welcome challenge to the idea that people should always avoid feeling uncomfortable.

He wondered why shame had gotten such a bad reputation lately. ‘It seems like a useful emotion,’ he thought, ‘why shouldn’t people feel it when they’ve done something wrong?’

Okay, so Julia Roberts said something amazing about getting ready for the movie. She got to have actual conversations with people, where they genuinely listened to her to understand things, not to try and change her mind! It sounds like such a respectful and collaborative process, and honestly, it makes me even more excited for the film. It’s just…beautiful, you know?

She talked about how her co-stars – Luca and Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, and Chloë Sevigny – spent days at her house, having long conversations around the kitchen table.

Truly intelligent people don’t try to compete for status. Instead, they openly share their thoughts and emotions, and then they focus on carefully listening to others.

I think we’ve lost the art of truly listening. Conversations often become arguments where everyone is just waiting for their turn to explain why they’re right, instead of actually hearing each other out.

The actress shared that it was wonderful to have the opportunity to spend time with such intelligent and thoughtful people, and she really valued hearing everyone’s perspectives.

We didn’t reveal everything about our characters, but creating them was a fantastic way to explore ideas.

Earlier this month, the actress shared a photo with Sean Penn on social media to promote an interview with Variety. She called him a ‘friend’ and referred to him as the ‘GOAT’ with a heart emoji.
