LEC Versus is starting the 2026 season with an exciting new tournament! It will include new teams and updated player lineups. Here’s a complete overview of what you need to know.
The 2026 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) season starts with LEC Versus! Expect exciting, unpredictable gameplay with updated team lineups and brand-new rivalries. This year, twelve teams – the ten regular LEC squads plus two invited teams – will compete at the Riot Games Arena to show what they’ve got. Are you prepared for the action?
LEC Versus teams
The 2026 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) will begin with a special event called LEC Versus. Ten LEC teams will compete alongside two teams from the EMEA Regional Leagues (ERLs): Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue. This tournament is the only opportunity for these ERL teams to showcase their skills against the top-tier LEC teams. Here’s a list of all the teams participating:

Tournament format
As a huge fan, I’m really excited to hear that starting January 17th, all the teams will be playing each other once in best-of-one matches! It’s awesome that the ERL gets a chance to go up against all the Tier 1 teams and show what they’re capable of in some fresh matchups. I wish they could play longer series, but with the busy schedule and ‘The First Stand’ event happening, best-of-ones are the only way to make it work.
The eight highest-ranking teams will advance to the Playoffs, which will use a double-elimination format. The first two rounds will be best-of-three matches, and all subsequent matches will be best-of-five. The winning team will earn a spot at The First Stand. The championship match, or Grand Finals, is scheduled for March 1, 2026.
LEC Versus is partnering with HyperX, making them the official sponsor for gaming peripherals at the event. This means the top European League of Legends players will be using high-quality HyperX equipment.
LEC Versus tickets
Okay, so I just found out when tickets for LEC Versus are going on sale! They’ll be available starting December 17th at 6 PM CET. It’s happening live at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, which is awesome. Each ticket is only €15, which is about $18, and you can grab them on the EMEA tickets website. You’ve got until February 13th to get yours, so don’t wait too long!
Tickets for the Playoffs will be released in January 2026. The first round of the Upper Bracket goes on sale January 5th, and the rest of the tickets will be available on January 12th. If you can’t make it to the event, you can still catch all the action by watching the official broadcasts on the LEC’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
