Diddy’s twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, 18, pay tribute to their late mother Kim Porter in a heartbreaking throwback on her birthday

Diddy’s twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, honored their mother, Kim Porter, with a touching post on what would have been her birthday.

The sisters, both 18, posted on their shared Instagram account Tuesday, saying they feel their mother’s presence with them always.

Kim and Diddy had a complicated relationship that lasted from 1994 to 2007, and together they had three children: Christian, now 26, and twin daughters Jesse and D’Lila.

She passed away in 2018 at the age of 47 from pneumonia, and many people, including Diddy, attended her funeral.

In the photo, the girls are seen wearing cute  matching dresses as they smiled next to Kim. 

Happy birthday, Mom! We love you tons and miss you terribly. We feel like you’re always with us.

This public appearance follows the release of the documentary ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning,’ produced by 50 Cent. The film examines accusations of sexual misconduct against Combs, as well as the deaths of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, age 56, began serving a sentence of over four years in prison at Fort Dix on October 30th, following his conviction on charges related to prostitution.

I honestly can’t believe anyone would accuse him of something like that! My idol, the guy who basically defined an era in music? He’s completely denying these awful sex-trafficking charges, and I, for one, believe him. He’s always been a powerful force, a legend, and these accusations just don’t fit the man I know – or think I know – through his music. It’s just… unbelievable.

The defendant’s lawyers stated the sexual activity in question was agreed upon by both parties, but they admitted there was evidence of domestic abuse.

A widely shared surveillance video showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, was presented in court. However, his legal team argued that, even if the violence was proven, it didn’t automatically mean he was involved in sex trafficking.

The jury found the defendant not guilty of the most serious accusations, including sex trafficking and racketeering, ultimately favoring the defense’s arguments.

As many of you know, loss can impact families in so many ways. Recently, I’ve stepped in to help support D’Lila and Jessie after the heartbreaking loss of their mother, and my dear friend, Kim. I’m now acting as a surrogate mom to them, offering guidance and love during this incredibly difficult time.

The TV personality, recently back on reality television at age 50, discussed motherhood during an interview on Today With Jenna & Friends.

During a recent episode, Kelly Simmons—who already has five children—was asked about her role as a supportive mother figure to others.

I have my own children, and then I have children who feel like family but aren’t biologically mine. This includes my stepdaughter, whom I consider another daughter, and a son, Jaden, who’s been a part of our lives for a long time, as well as another son who has been with us for many years.

I’m raising all of my late friend Kim Porter’s children. Some of them are adults, but a couple are still 18 – they’re twins.

When asked if she speaks with the twins, Simmons confirmed they stay in touch. She mentioned she had just finished a phone call with them and added that she’s a mother figure to many people.

Scarlett Johansson, filling in as host, praised the performer and asked if they worked alone, curious about how they managed everything.

I’m incredibly lucky to have a strong support system. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and for me, that village is made up of my godmothers, aunts, and friends – mostly wonderful women.

I receive a lot of support from women, and my work focuses on empowering them – though it’s not just women. It’s a really reciprocal relationship; they lift me up as much as I lift them up. It truly takes a community, and we’ve become something of a supportive network for women.
