Conor Maynard takes ANOTHER swipe at The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton as she undergoes brain surgery amid ongoing paternity row

Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton are continuing their public disagreement, even after Chilton announced she’s undergoing brain surgery.

Charlotte announced on Sunday that she was having surgery after a severe trigeminal neuralgia attack sent her to the emergency room.

Conor, 33, and Charlotte, 34, have been arguing for over a year about whether he is the father of Charlotte’s daughter, Penelope. Despite two paternity tests showing he isn’t the father, Charlotte continues to believe he is and claims the tests are wrong.

On Saturday, Conor joined a popular TikTok trend by sharing a phrase he frequently uses, set to the song “The Less I Know the Better” by Tame Impala.

In a TikTok video posted before Charlotte’s surgery, Conor is seen wearing a yellow sweater and a red baseball cap. Text on the screen reads, ‘So come on superman… say your stupid line.’

The scene then shifts to Conor repeating a line he uses often, a clear reference to the conflict with Charlotte about his father.

The words on the screen read: ‘Are you SURE you didn’t sleep with anyone else?’

As a longtime follower, I have to say Conor bringing up the paternity drama again felt really off, especially with everything Charlotte’s been through. She just had surgery and has been so open about needing to step away from social media after months of dealing with all the negativity. It just didn’t seem like the right time, and honestly, a lot of us are pretty divided about it.

One commented: ‘This is embarrassing’ as another agreed writing: ‘id give it a rest now mate.’

Charlotte has previously discussed her struggles with the extremely painful condition trigeminal neuralgia, including having brain surgery for it in her twenties. She recently revealed she’s been experiencing a particularly bad recurrence of the condition.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about managing discomfort, and one condition I want to address is trigeminal neuralgia. It causes incredibly intense facial pain that comes on suddenly. People frequently describe it as a sharp, shooting pain – almost like an electric shock – felt in the jaw, teeth, or gums. It can really disrupt daily life, so understanding what it feels like is the first step.

It’s just…it’s awful to think about. They can be in pain for days, even weeks or months! And it’s not like a little twinge, it can happen hundreds of times a day, just constantly. I’ve read so much about it, and it breaks my heart to imagine going through that. It’s relentless, this pain… absolutely relentless.

The NHS explains that trigeminal neuralgia can be incredibly challenging to live with. It can seriously affect someone’s well-being, potentially leading to issues like weight loss, feeling alone, and becoming depressed.

Charlotte shared in a post on Sunday that her symptoms caused her intense physical pain, and sadly explained, ‘This condition is often called the suicide disease – and there’s a reason.’

I’m back in the hospital and need another surgery to manage my trigeminal neuralgia, as many of you know I’ve been working to raise awareness of this condition. I shared a photo from my hospital bed to let you know what’s been happening.

Let’s be real, brain surgery is scary – there’s no way around that. But for me, it was a necessary step towards a better future. The long-term relief I’ve experienced has been incredible, and honestly, it’s allowed me to finally get back to living my life to the fullest. It wasn’t easy, but it was absolutely worth it.

I was recently admitted to the emergency room with a severe health issue and have been receiving fantastic care from the neurology team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Today, I’m having surgery to hopefully alleviate my pain and discomfort.

To my followers in Tennessee, please don’t give up on finding a supportive team. Dealing with this illness is incredibly difficult, and it’s often called ‘the suicide disease’ because of how overwhelming it can be. I’m so thankful for the love and support my family and friends have given me during this really tough week!

Sending good wishes and hoping everything goes well! I’m facing surgery for trigeminal neuralgia. Thank you to the amazing doctors and the NHS. #trigeminalneuralgia #trigeminalneuralgiaawareness #trigeminalneuralgiawarrior #neuro #neurologist #surgery #nhs #nhsheroes

I was so heartbroken to hear her share last January that she’d been struggling with such intense pain, it led her to think about ending her life. It was incredibly brave of her to talk about such a difficult experience.

After departing the show, the TV star publicly discussed her long-term health issue, explaining that it has prevented her from fully enjoying many experiences.

Charlotte told Metro.co.uk last year that she felt hopeless due to ongoing pain following brain surgery she had in her twenties to address a medical condition. She described a very difficult period in her life.

Charlotte described the unpredictable nature of her pain, explaining that it could range from manageable with medication to excruciating – so severe that it felt unbearable and she had thoughts of self-harm.

This condition is often called the ‘suicide disease’ due to the incredibly high rate of suicide among those who suffer from it. It causes excruciating pain, and is considered the most painful condition a person can experience.

A tearful Charlotte shared that her condition had made her feel like she’d lost out on life, explaining, ‘I felt hopeless and was at my lowest point.’

Charlotte’s wife, Laura, found a doctor to help the reality star, but unfortunately, things got much worse.

She was in a car accident and suffered a head injury, which unfortunately brought back her previous pain. She was immediately taken to the hospital for a second surgery.

Charlotte described feeling extremely stressed during the procedure, which was intended to help her. However, her recovery took much longer the second time around, and she experienced some short-term memory problems.

She was recovering and needed to relearn basic skills like eating, speaking, and walking, as well as improve her coordination.

Charlotte shared an update about her surgery on Sunday, following her decision last month to limit her social media use during her ongoing legal dispute with singer Conor regarding their child’s paternity.

The celebrity revealed last June that Conor, age 32, was reportedly the father of her baby, conceived during a brief encounter. She later welcomed their daughter, Penelope, who is now 13 months old.

Despite two paternity tests showing he isn’t the father, the singer – who recently got engaged to Kitty Bertrand – is being claimed as the dad by Charlotte, who maintains the tests are wrong.

Recently, Conor accused Charlotte of having a relationship with her “Traitors” co-star, Jonny Holloway, and even suggested he might be the father of her child. Charlotte strongly denied this, stating that Conor was her only partner at the time.

In November, she posted a detailed statement on Instagram explaining how the situation had affected her mental health and announced she was taking a break to focus on her well-being.

Charlotte recently gave an interview with The Sun where she finally addressed rumors and shared her side of the story openly and honestly.

For me, this has always been deeply personal. It’s about my daughter – knowing who her father is, ensuring her birth certificate accurately reflects that, and giving her the information she deserves about her family’s medical history. It’s about her right to know her story, and I’m dedicated to making sure she has it.

This isn’t about wealth or recognition for me. I’m incredibly grateful for my wonderful family, who have always believed in me and continue to be my rock. I’ve shared my experiences honestly, and I’ve always spoken the truth.

I’m prioritizing my own health and, above all, my daughter’s safety. I won’t let either of us be exploited for someone else’s benefit.

As Conor requested, everyone should respond to this news with kindness, remembering that a child is involved.

‘Sadly that reminder seems to have been forgotten – by him and by others…

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has offered kindness, understanding, and support. Your compassion has truly meant the world to me.

Charlotte has repeatedly denied having slept with Jonny, maintaining that Conor was the only person she was intimate with during that period.
