Neon just dropped the first trailer for Hokum, a creepy horror movie filmed in Ireland. The trailer is getting a lot of attention for being genuinely frightening, and it stars Adam Scott, known for his role in Severance.
Damian McCarthy, the director of the critically acclaimed 2024 film Oddity, is back with a new movie starring Scott as a writer. The story follows him as he retreats to a secluded inn and becomes increasingly obsessed with a local legend about witchcraft.
A reclusive writer named Ohm Bauman (played by Scott) travels to a secluded Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes. He becomes increasingly disturbed by stories from the inn’s staff about an ancient witch said to haunt one of the rooms.
