Trey Songz arrested after becoming ‘needlessly irate’ and allegedly punching NYC nightclub worker

Trey Songz went to court in Manhattan, New York City, on Sunday because he’s been accused of hitting a Times Square nightclub worker in the face.

I read in the New York Post that the singer, who’s 41, apparently got really upset when someone at the Dramma Night Club told him they were closing around 4 a.m. on December 4th. Prosecutors said he didn’t need to get so angry about it.

According to court documents obtained by the newspaper, the person who was punched suffered significant swelling and pain because of the singer’s attack.

Tremaine Neverson, a singer originally from Petersburg, Virginia, has been accused of assault following an incident, according to reports.

The musician, known as Na Na, also faces a charge of second-degree mischief. This stems from a separate incident earlier Sunday at Mira, a restaurant in Manhattan, according to reports.

Trey Songz’s lawyer, Mitchell Schuster, stated to the Daily Mail that Songz has been charged following an incident last week. He is fully cooperating with authorities and expects the truth to be revealed.

On Saturday night, Trey was approached by a group who tried to start a fight and boxed him in. His security team stepped in to protect him, and a brief scuffle broke out as they tried to control the situation.

Celebrities and other public figures are frequently targeted by those trying to create sensational stories or profit financially. We believe the truth will become clear on its own.

The musician known as About You allegedly caused around $1,500 worth of damage to property belonging to someone named Mira, according to court documents.

The listed items broken include DJ equipment, sofas, and hookahs.

I’ve been following Trey Songz for a while now, and unfortunately, he’s had some trouble with the law over the years. One incident that really stood out was back in January 2021 – he was arrested after getting into a physical altercation with police officers at the AFC Championship Game in Kansas City. It was a pretty messy situation, and definitely a low point for a talented artist I admire.

After refusing to wear a mask during the Covid-19 pandemic, the musician was tackled by an officer. A struggle followed, during which the musician put the officer in a headlock.

TMZ reported that Trey Songz was arrested and faced several charges, including assaulting a police officer (a felony), as well as the misdemeanors of resisting arrest and trespassing, according to a law enforcement source.

The Can’t Help But Wait songwriter was reportedly on a 24-hour hold in jail.

Before that, he was arrested in Detroit in December 2016 after a show for fighting with police and damaging property.

In September Songz settled a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault at a Miami nightclub.

Per Billboard,  he reached a confidential deal weeks before the case was scheduled to go to trial.

In 2020, Jauhara Jeffries, initially known in court as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit against singer Trey Songz, seeking $10 million in damages. She alleged that he sexually assaulted her on January 1, 2018, while at the E11even nightclub.

Judge Antonio Arzola announced that the case has been resolved with an agreement between all involved parties. As a result, the case is now closed. However, the court will retain the authority to ensure the terms of the settlement are followed and to issue any necessary orders to enforce it.

I’m relieved to hear that Jeffries’ legal issues are finally over! His lawyer, Ariel Mitchell, let us know the case has been settled, but she didn’t share any specifics about the agreement. Still, it’s good to know things are resolved.

Mitchell explained that the first complaint was dismissed due to a technical mistake, but it wasn’t a final decision. As a result, Jeffries filed a lawsuit for assault and battery again in 2021.

The woman said she first met Songz at a New Year’s Eve party hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on December 31, 2017.

She later went with him and others to E11even, where the group partied at a private table.

The plaintiff testified that while dancing with Songz, he digitally penetrated her without her permission.

Jeffries alleged she wasn’t the only person Songz sexually assaulted that night.

According to her, there was another woman who accused Songz of fondling her buttocks.

According to the complaint reviewed by NBC News, the group left the E11even nightclub in a vehicle belonging to Trey Songz. During the ride, the defendant reportedly took off his shirt at some point.

Jeffries explained she recorded the incident on her phone, and when she didn’t stop recording, the musician told his driver to pull the car over and physically remove her.

Songz has denied the allegations.
