Disney Channel star Debby Ryan welcomes first child via home birth as she shares intimate delivery photos

Debby Ryan and her husband, Josh Dun, recently welcomed their first child! The baby was born at home earlier this month.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I was so touched to see the actress’s beautiful birth story unfold on Instagram this weekend! She announced she was expecting back in September, and then shared some really personal and intimate footage of welcoming her baby at home. It’s lovely to see her sharing such a special moment with her followers.

The former Disney Channel star, who married the Twenty One Pilots drummer in 2019, recently announced the birth of their daughter, Felix Winter Dun.

Ryan shared in a post that they were sitting under the bright, cold light of the supermoon, remembering what it was like being a couple, and then told their child they were excited to welcome a new baby into the family.

Felix arrived just after noon, born into her father’s hands as snow fell outside and Christmas lights twinkled.

The new mom then gave a special shoutout to her husband for being ‘an incredible teammate.’

She expressed gratitude for her amazing birth team and acknowledged the support she received from strong and wise women throughout her pregnancy and beyond.

As a new mom, I’m completely smitten! It’s the little things, you know? My baby girl has the softest hair – it feels like silk – and even her little sighs smell like vanilla. Honestly, every sound she makes is the sweetest melody, and it’s amazing how quickly she’s growing. I blink, and she seems tinier than before! It’s just pure magic.

I know it won’t be long before she grows and changes, so for now I want to cherish these moments with my eight-pound kitten, Felix Winter Dun, and enjoy being completely devoted to him.

Ryan concluded her caption by expressing how she is embracing motherhood.

I’ve achieved many things in my life, but nothing compares to the honor of being a safe haven, a source of growth, and a pathway for a new life to enter the world. Welcome to earth, little one. I love you always.

Mad Men alum January Jones typed, ‘Congratulations!!’ followed by three red heart emojis.

Tyler Joseph, the singer from Twenty One Pilots, posted ‘you did it,’ and Jennette McCurdy, who starred on Nickelodeon, just wrote ‘felix.’

AnnaSophia Robb also shared in the comments, ‘congratulations! Welcome to the world lil Angel!’

Ryan recently shared photos on Instagram of her newborn daughter and the details of her at-home birth.

One slide featured a brief video of the actress relaxing in an inflatable pool, leaning against the side. Her husband was visible, comforting their child who was crouching nearby.

A Christmas tree was lit up in the background and snow could be seen outside of the window.

The actress shared some sweet photos of her baby daughter, Felix, sleeping on her chest. One photo also showed her partner bonding with their newborn.

They snapped another photo of their baby sleeping peacefully in a crib, with a brightly lit Christmas tree filling the room with a warm glow.

Finally, the former Disney Channel star shared a picture of a snowy deck with a bright moon in the sky.

Ryan revealed she was expecting her first child with the drummer from Twenty One Pilots back in September.

At the time, she shared a series of snaps to Instagram with the caption: ‘dun&dun +one.’

A photo captured the actress displaying her baby bump, with her husband’s hand gently resting on her belly.

The music artist gently kissed her neck while also holding a pair of tiny checkered Vans shoes.

In a separate photo, Ryan was pictured leaning against a bathroom wall and gently holding her baby bump.

The celebrity and the drummer started dating in 2013 and got married on December 31st, 2019.

The ceremony was held in Austin, Texas, and it was surprising to learn the entire event was planned in under a month.

Ryan previously told Vogue in 2020 how the nuptials came to be with only 28 days of planning.

We initially thought it would be fun to have a big party somewhere new to ring in the new decade, but in December, we decided to get married in Austin on New Year’s Eve and just keep the celebration going after midnight, with lots of dancing, she said.

The couple got married in a church, and the actress explained they really wanted the ceremony to feel sacred and take place in a respectful setting.

I visited a lot of churches around Austin before deciding on one. Ultimately, my husband, Joshua, made the final choice. I was particularly drawn to the beautiful stained glass windows.

Ryan and Dun will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary later this month, and they currently live in Columbus, Ohio.
