Okay, so as a huge Marvel fan, I was stoked to hear that Letitia Wright – you know, Shuri from Black Panther, and she was in Infinity War and Endgame – is going to be in Avengers: Secret Wars! It’s not the Secret Wars movie coming out next year, though; we’re gonna have to wait a little longer for that one.
It happens to the best of us, as Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, recently showed in an interview about her first time directing a film called Highway to the Moon.
In an interview with ScreenRant, the actress said she doesn’t know if a third Black Panther movie is planned. She mentioned they had just finished filming Secret Wars, and described the experience as positive.

“Doomsday, sorry,” she quickly corrected herself. “I confuse the two. I confused the two.
I’m filming Secret Wars next. We just finished Doomsday, and it went really well.

Although many actors have been confirmed for Doomsday, it’s still unclear who will reprise their roles in Secret Wars. That’s why the recent statement from Wright is significant.
Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn, who starred in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, are expected to be in the upcoming Secret Wars movie. Sadie Sink has also been confirmed to appear.
Before appearing in Secret Wars, actress Xochitl Gomez will first be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a yet-unspecified character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The role is being kept tightly under wraps, suggesting it will be a significant one.

Many fans believe she’s going to play Jean Grey, and statements from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige hint that’s likely true.
We’re considering a fresh start with a single, unified timeline,” he explained, and specified that “X-Men will be the next project to explore that concept.
For years, the X-Men have given a voice to young people who feel like outsiders, who struggle with feeling different or like they don’t fit in. That feeling of being different is at the heart of the mutant story, and that’s where we’re taking the narrative now.
The new movie, Avengers: Doomsday, will come out on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars is planned for the following year. Currently, all four Avengers films are available to stream on Disney+.
