Marvel Will Release 4 Avengers: Doomsday Trailers & We Might Already Know What’s In Them

After a long wait, updates for Avengers: Doomsday are on their way! It looks like Marvel may have already given us hints about what the upcoming trailers will show. Originally, the first glimpse of the movie’s story was expected to appear with the theatrical release of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19th, and that plan is still happening.

Marvel Studios isn’t just releasing one trailer; they have a bigger plan. They’re going to release four different trailers for Avengers: Doomsday, each playing in theaters for a week before being replaced by the next one. Fans are now speculating about what these trailers will reveal, but I believe the key lies in the film’s cast.

Marvel Studios Has Already Confirmed Which Teams Appear In Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel announced the cast for their next Avengers film way back in March, including returning favorites, characters new to the Multiverse Saga, and even some original X-Men from the Fox films. A recent Disney event in Italy detailed the teams that will be featured in the movie, specifically showing who will be on Captain America’s new Avengers team.

Five teams were showcased: Sam Wilson’s Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the former Thunderbolts, the X-Men, and the Wakandans. But I think the movie will likely focus on only four of these groups. Namor, while fighting alongside the Wakandans, isn’t actually from Wakanda, and his goals might end up matching those of Doctor Doom.

Namor and Doctor Doom have teamed up in the comics before, so it’s not surprising to see them potentially working together again. Plus, Shuri, who is now the Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, would be a good fit for one of the two Avengers groups we’ll see in the movie. With so many characters already confirmed for Avengers: Doom’s Day, it seems unlikely M’Baku will have a significant part. This leaves us with four main teams as the likely focus.

The Four Avengers: Doomsday Trailers Could Each Focus On An MCU Team

It’s likely the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday trailers will be very similar to each other. However, considering Marvel Studios is building up a month-long event around the first look at the new Avengers film, I doubt they’d simply release nearly identical trailers. It feels like they’d put more effort into it than that.

With four main teams planned for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and four trailers already confirmed, Marvel has a great opportunity to dedicate each trailer to a different team. This could allow them to showcase the unique world of the X-Men and how they differ from previous versions, explain how the Fantastic Four are integrated into the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, show Captain America assembling a new team of heroes, and depict the New Avengers discovering the Fantastic Four.

A great way to get fans excited about Avengers: Doomsday would be to feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom connecting each team in their individual trailers. Marvel could release footage of him interacting with different superhero groups, building anticipation. We’ll see if this happens when the first trailer comes out next week.
