Jacob Elordi issues shocking nine-word plea to photographers in Paris

Jacob Elordi recently asked photographers to be considerate while he was traveling in Paris, describing the situation as upsetting.

This week, a 28-year-old named Jacob was filmed trying to get on a train leaving Paris, in a video posted to Instagram.

Jacob, surrounded by security, seemed to be trying not to attract attention during his travels. He wore sunglasses and a baseball cap while photographers snapped pictures of him.

The actor, known for his role in Frankenstein, was immediately swarmed by photographers hoping to photograph him and express their appreciation for his performance.

As he made his way through the station, one onlooker could be heard saying: ‘Jacob, we love you.’

The actor appeared bothered by something and turned to face the photographer after taking out his earbuds, then walked into an elevator.

“Please, just let me live my life,” Jacob begged the paparazzi, asking them to stop following him.

The photographer continued to profess his love for the actor, but Jacob remained stoic.

‘I don’t love you,’ he replied. ‘You make it really hard for me to live, all of you.’

Clearly weary from the constant glare of cameras, Jacob reiterated his point. 

‘You make it really hard for me,’ he added.

The short conversation quickly spread online, and many people reacted negatively, calling it embarrassing.

‘He would’ve been fine all alone,’ one commenter wrote.

Ugh, seriously, the security detail is SO extra! It’s like they want everyone to stare at him, and honestly, it just feels…forced. Like a total publicity grab. It’s just so unbelievably cringe, I can barely watch!

Someone else agreed, saying the bodyguard was overreacting as if surrounded by a huge crowd. They pointed out that people in Paris aren’t interested in celebrities and are just going about their daily lives.

A third added: ‘This bodyguard guy is super extra. I’d be more annoyed by him than fans.’

It wasn’t all criticism, though, with some fans leaping to Jacob’s defence.

‘This is honestly heartbreaking,’ one fan wrote.

Just because someone is famous doesn’t mean people have the right to disregard their personal space. While paparazzi might choose that as their job, it doesn’t excuse constantly pursuing and harassing individuals.

It’s possible to appreciate someone’s creations without causing them personal distress. Jacob, like everyone else, deserves kindness and privacy.

Someone else chimed in to defend Jacob, saying, ‘Just picture being a celebrity, constantly pursued and filmed by strangers proclaiming their affection.’

This isn’t affection; it’s harassment. He continues to film even after admitting, “You make it really hard for me.”
