Brooke Warne has paid a sweet Christmas tribute to her late father Shane.

Shane Warne, the famous Australian cricketer known as the King of Spin, passed away in March 2022 at the age of 52. He reportedly died of a heart attack while on vacation in Thailand.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Brooke is just the sweetest! She’s 28, and with Christmas coming up, she decided to throw this amazing event to honor her dad. The Herald Sun said it’s exactly the kind of thing he would have loved, and honestly, it just makes my heart melt knowing how much she misses him and wants to keep his memory alive. It’s so touching!

She explained that the holidays, including Christmas and birthdays, would feel different now that her father was gone, as he had always been so central to those celebrations.

He always made Christmas extra special, and this is the fourth year we’ve celebrated without him, which makes it particularly difficult.

Brooke mentioned that everyone misses Shane dearly, but she’s planning a family gathering during the holidays – something she knows he would have really enjoyed.

Brooke explained she’s gathering the family to celebrate and remember her father, emphasizing how much he would have appreciated them coming together.

Oh my gosh, she told me the most amazing thing about her dad! Apparently, he was the social hub – everyone knew him for always bringing people together. And get this – he threw this huge Christmas Eve party every year, not just for family, but because all the cricket players happened to be in town! Can you believe it? It just proves how connected and wonderful her family is!

Brooke definitely embraced the holiday season on Friday, hosting the Booby Tape Christmas party at Crown Melbourne.

She did so in fine style, cutting a chic figure in a sleeveless white Bianca & Bridgett dress.

Brooke added a pop of colour to her festive ensemble with a pair of ruby red Dolci Firme shoes. 

Oh my gosh, it’s just… heartbreaking. I mean, Brooke just shared what it was like the night she found out her dad passed away, and honestly, it was so raw and emotional. You could just feel how much it affected her, and now everyone knows too. It’s just… a lot.

She found out about her father’s sudden heart attack while she was with family, including her partner, Alex Heath.

Brooke recently shared on her brother Jackson’s podcast, Warnes Way, that the upsetting news was a complete shock.

She said in a tearful interview that she never once suspected anything was wrong with her father.

Brooke stated that Jackson was the first to learn the news – he received a call from Shane’s manager, Andrew Neophitou.

Also with her that night was her mother, Simone Callahan, Shane’s ex.

When the family found out the famous cricketer had a major heart attack, everyone immediately jumped up.

‘We stood up, and I remember I couldn’t breathe,’ she remembered.

Hearing that was so shocking, it felt like I was watching everything happen to someone else. It just didn’t seem real.

Brooke admitted she’d been trying to reassure herself that her father would recover while her family waited for updates.
