Fallout Gets Surprise ‘Original Movie’ With New Vegas Easter Egg

Prime Video is celebrating the holidays with a new movie based on one of its most popular shows.

How to watch the surprise Fallout video

Prime Video has launched a fun holiday video called The Ghoul Log, inspired by the Fallout series. It features the character the Ghoul (played by Walton Goggins) relaxing by a fireplace and listening to the radio. Mr. New Vegas (Wayne Newton) tells a story and sings songs, all while the video showcases the ‘Ghoul Log’ itself – a piece of wood seemingly made with a ghoul’s hand.

With the second season of Fallout premiering on December 17, 2025, this new video offers a preview of what’s to come. The show will continue the story from season one, and this time, the action moves to New Vegas.

The first season of Fallout was a huge hit with both critics and viewers, receiving widespread praise. It garnered an impressive 17 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including recognition for Outstanding Drama Series and a nomination for Walton Goggins as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The season’s cast included Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean, and Xelia Mendes-Jones as Dane.

Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet created the Fallout TV series and also lead it as showrunners.

Fallout, inspired by the beloved video game series, tells the story of a world stripped bare after a devastating apocalypse. Two centuries later, those who lived comfortably in underground shelters are forced back to the surface – a dangerous and radioactive wasteland their ancestors abandoned. They quickly discover a strange, complex, and often violent new world awaiting them.

All eight episodes of Fallout Season 1 are currently available to stream on Prime Video.
