Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Cast Hints at Season 4 Secrets

A gift given to the cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds suggests we might get a glimpse of season four. Filming for the show’s fifth and final season—and the end of the popular Paramount+ series—is almost complete.

Paramount+ has ordered a final season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Season 5 will consist of 6 episodes, and production is scheduled to begin in fall 2025, finishing before Christmas. Fans can expect seasons 4 and 5 to premiere on Paramount+ in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

I was so touched to see Anson Mount post on Instagram! He shared some behind-the-scenes photos Jess Bush gave to all of us as a way to celebrate finishing five seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It’s really sweet to see those moments captured and shared with the fans.

Anson shared a lot of photos from the early seasons of the show, but one really caught people’s attention. It looks like it might be a sneak peek from season 4 or 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. You can see the photo below.

It’s lovely to see the happy faces of the cast – Martin Quinn, Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, Babs Olusanmokun, Melissa Navia, Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Christina Chong, and even her dog, Runa Ewok! But Ethan Peck’s appearance is a bit different, suggesting this photo was taken behind the scenes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds during filming of season 4 or 5.

Anthony Rapp is dressed as Spock, but this isn’t a costume Spock wore during the first three seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. With his long, messy hair and beard, this is a new take on the character that fans haven’t seen before. Captain Pike is also wearing black tactical gear, suggesting that Spock and Pike are part of a landing party.

Celia Rose Gooding’s hair suggests the photo is from either season 4 or 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Her character, Nyota Uhura, grew her hair out in season 3, and this lighter hairstyle is a new change. There’s also speculation that Ethan Peck might not be playing the familiar Spock, but possibly Spock’s older, troubled brother, Sybok.

The upcoming fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is expected to be just as ambitious as season 3, and will even feature an episode with puppets created by the Jim Henson Company. While details about seasons 4 and 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are being closely guarded, a recently released photo offers a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come.
