Daisy Ridley recently gave fans an update about her return to the Star Wars universe in the upcoming movie New Jedi Order. The film, which was first announced in 2023, takes place 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker (2019) and will feature Ridley reprising her role as Rey, now training a new group of Jedi.
Ridley acknowledged the film had faced several delays, but reassured fans it would eventually be released and would be worth seeing. He remained optimistic about the project despite the setbacks.
During a conversation with IGN, Ridley was questioned about the reported cancellation of a planned solo Star Wars film, The Hunt for Ben Solo, starring Adam Driver. This followed Driver’s announcement to the Associated Press in October that the project had been abandoned.

When Daisy Ridley’s role in the Rey film was first announced, she expressed her excitement, saying the story sounded fantastic. She was eager to receive the script and didn’t have any further details to share at the time.
This isn’t quite what I anticipated, but I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve learned the plot of one of the movies, and I believe audiences will be thrilled.
