’90 Vogue model Carolyn Murphy, 51, who dates Will Arnett proves she can still rock a bikini

Nineties supermodel Carolyn Murphy shared new bikini images to Instagram on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old, currently dating actor Will Arnett, looked fantastic in a black bikini that showed off her fit physique.

The blonde California resident stays in great shape thanks to yoga and surfing.

These are, like, actual supermodels showing me some love! It’s a dream come true, honestly. I’ve been following them forever, and now they acknowledged me! I think I need to lie down… in a good way, of course!

Murphy was a successful model in the 1990s, working with famous brands like Calvin Klein and appearing in Vogue magazine. She moved in the same circles as top models such as Linda Evangelista.

I’ve been a fan for years, and I always admired her confidence. She wasn’t afraid to push boundaries – I remember being shocked, but also captivated, by her topless poses, even back in 1995 during that DKNY runway show in New York. And she just glowed in those Estée Lauder ads! She truly had a striking presence.

When chatting to Marie Claire last year, she commented on her looks.

Kate Moss’ friend shared a glamorous magazine cover on Instagram and wrote that a lot of how we feel about aging – and life in general – is simply a matter of perspective.

She added, ‘We are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.’

Murphy recently celebrated his 50th birthday and is looking forward to what comes next, saying he’s never felt more optimistic about the future.

People often ask me what my secret is to staying healthy as I get older, and I always say there’s no single answer. What works for one person won’t necessarily work for another.

The magazine star then admitted that she has her own tricks in her beauty bag.

“I definitely have access to great wellness products and tips, but it’s about a whole lifestyle,” the Vogue model explained.

She doesn’t refer to her skincare products as ‘potions,’ but the Estée Lauder model has previously shared that she uses Cetaphil and Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion.

In a 2017 interview with Vogue, she shared that she’s a fan of bone broth, eats plenty of vegetables, and likes to snack on healthy options like almond butter.

And she is an avid surfer.

Turns out, she goes out of her way to make herself happy, too.

Carolyn shared that, beyond the usual self-care advice, prioritizing her mental and emotional well-being has always been important to her.

She explained that she trusts her instincts when making decisions – something she’s found improves with age – and prioritizes activities that nourish her spirit, even if it means being less readily available to others.

The Los Angeles resident, who lost her home in the January fires, has been dedicated to a wellness lifestyle for thirty years.

Of course, there have been some difficulties and setbacks. The last two years, in particular, have been incredibly demanding, but I’ll share more about that later.

She explained that this photoshoot and accompanying article in Marie Claire were created to celebrate everything she’s accomplished.

I’m truly happiest when I’m working on projects I’m passionate about, especially when I get to share them with friends. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this possible.

She got her start in the 1990s. In 1998, Murphy was named VH1/Vogue’s Model of the Year.

And she tried out acting too, playing Dubbie in Barry Levinson’s film Liberty Heights.

She was one of the ‘Modern Muses’ on the November 1999 millennium cover of American Vogue.

And she was the star of Calvin Klein perfume’s ads for Contradiction.

She became even more well-known after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in both 2005 and 2006.

Murphy has since shot campaigns for Missoni, Versace and Tiffany & Co.

In July 2012, Murphy took over hosting duties for Project Runway All Stars on Lifetime. She replaced Angela Lindvall, who was initially chosen after Rosie Huntington-Whiteley left the show to work on a movie.

Originally from Florida and standing 5’9″ tall, she was married to Jake Schroeder from 1999 to 2002. They have one son together, Dylan Blue.
