Kakao Games is launching a new, easy-to-play puzzle game called SMiniz. It’s a match-3 style game featuring characters and themes from SM Entertainment. A closed beta test is currently available on Android devices until December 12th, and the full game is expected to be released worldwide in the first quarter of 2026. The game was originally known as SM GAME STATION.
Play with your favorite K-pop artists in chibi form and solve puzzles
SM Entertainment is launching a new, more relaxed game called SMiniz, similar to what HYBE did with their own title. This game is designed for players around the world, and Kakao Games will be responsible for publishing it internationally. The game is being developed by METABORA and will feature adorable, miniature versions of SM Entertainment’s popular artists, known as Miniz.
This game lets you play match-3 puzzles with characters from popular K-pop groups like NCT, aespa, and RIIZE. While I don’t usually follow K-pop, I’m a fan of aespa – especially Karina and Winter – and I’m excited to see how the game portrays them in a cute, chibi style.
I’m a bit jealous of those participating in the Closed Beta Test – they get to experience lots of different content, like collecting artist photocards. The puzzle gameplay sounds promising, and I’m excited about the character customization options. Thankfully, the game will be released worldwide soon after the developers finish reviewing feedback from the test.
SMiniz is currently in a closed beta testing phase on Android, running until December 12th. The full game is expected to be released worldwide in the first quarter of 2026, so keep an eye out for future news!
