Doomfist and Wuyang also enter Overwatch 2’s Stadium game mode.
Overwatch 2’s Season 20 has arrived, bringing significant changes to the hero Cassidy. These updates specifically affect gameplay in the Stadium mode. Find out more below.
Overwatch 2 Stadium gets Cassidy rework
The developers aimed to improve Cassidy’s less popular abilities in Stadium and give players more ways to build him this season. They did this by adding new options for his Fan the Hammer ability, like Buck Wild, and making his close-range builds more durable with a revised version of Frankie’s Fixer. They also strengthened his crit-based builds, rewarding players who engage in more aggressive combat with an improved Dead Man Walkin’ ability.
Cassidy’s High Noon ultimate has been reworked to charge faster and allow for quicker recovery after use. Additionally, a new feature called ‘It’s 12 O’clock Somewhere’ now lets him recover more quickly even if he doesn’t get any kills with the ultimate.
By streamlining Cassidy’s abilities, players have more options for how they build him. You don’t have to focus solely on his High Noon ultimate anymore. Now, Cassidy can be built for long-range damage using Flashbang and his new Sticky Grenade, or for close-quarters combat with Barrel Roll—and he can still benefit from the strong damage scaling of High Noon in either build.
