Coco Beeby, the latest winner of Big Brother Australia, won a significant $135,000 prize, but she says her winning night wasn’t the happy family celebration she’d hoped for.
A 30-year-old mother of three from New South Wales won the competition on Monday night. She beat Emily, a 30-year-old primary school teacher from Western Australia, to take first place.
Coco recently shared that she went straight from filming the show to fulfilling her commitments after the finale, and it really upset her children because she didn’t have any time to spend with them.
She told news.com.au that spending just 20 minutes with her kids was really tough. ‘It was hard saying hello, giving them a hug, and then having to leave,’ she explained.
Coco said that as soon as she’d held her babies for a few minutes – after being separated for a month – the show’s producers immediately put her in a car and drove her away.
Let me tell you, right after filming wrapped, it was a bit of a whirlwind! I immediately had to let everyone know I wasn’t going back to the house – I was done! Then, honestly, they pretty much whisked me away in a car and took me to my temporary accommodations. It was all a bit surreal, but a relief to finally have some space.

Coco explained that the brief reunion was upsetting for her children. They hadn’t seen her for weeks while she participated in a popular and highly publicized social experiment.
It was a very emotional experience, and everyone was in tears. I could feel my son’s tight grip on my arm, like he didn’t want me to leave. I’ll be seeing them again tomorrow, and I’m determined to stay close this time.
Even with all the excitement, Coco said she hasn’t decided how she’ll spend her winnings yet, emphasizing that her family comes first.
Viewers watching the finale were moved by the emotional reunion between Coco and her three children on stage.
The children cried and pleaded for their mother while Coco tried to finish her exit interview.
Coco, overcome with emotion, expressed her deep gratitude to everyone present. “I feel all of your support,” she said, tears welling up. “This means the world to me. Thank you, each and every one of you.”
She was overcome with emotion. ‘I just felt like I could truly be myself in there,’ she said, tears welling up. ‘I’ve always been me, but it hasn’t always been welcomed. To feel accepted by all of you means so much.’
The kids are so excited to spend time with their mom! Christmas is coming, and there will be gifts under the tree and lots of fun. Let’s get going!

During a heartfelt moment, Coco shared, ‘I longed for my children more than anything, but they also gave me the strength to keep moving forward.’
‘They were there every step of the way.’
When asked about continuing her relationship with Bruce Dale after the show, Coco responded positively.
She confessed he’s a really kind, sweet person with a great sense of humor. Ultimately, she said, his humor is what really won her over.
Runner-up Emily Dale, a primary school teacher from WA, 30, was gracious in defeat.
She said that while winning would have been a wonderful bonus, she was simply thankful for everything she gained from being on the show.
Colin Ridley, 21, finished in third place. He became a popular contestant throughout the show, especially because of his relationship with Holly Young.
