Amanda Holden seemed to be enjoying herself immensely during a weekend getaway with her friends. She shared photos from their trip to the luxurious Hanks House retreat in Oxfordshire.
The 54-year-old TV personality shared a funny intro video on Instagram Tuesday, styled after the opening credits of popular 90s sitcoms like Seinfeld and Friends, to introduce her guests.
She was joined by several former co-stars, including Sarah Parish, Angela Griffin, and Lucy Gaskell, all of whom appeared with her in the early 2000s BBC series Cutting It.
Amanda was joined by two close friends: Tamzin Outhwaite, known for her role in EastEnders, and Nicola Stephenson from Emmerdale. The three had previously performed together in the play Stepping Out back in 2017.
Wearing identical striped pajamas, the group fully relaxed and enjoyed their yearly holiday party, dancing and drinking wine.
Having fun exploring the beautiful house, they created a funny video with an opening sequence set to Paul Russell’s song, “Lil Boo Thang.”

The video opened with a title card announcing ‘Christmas at the Hanks House starring…’ and then each woman introduced herself with a short dance.
Amanda held her wine glass as it was her turn, then Sarah, 57, confidently danced for the camera, followed by Angela, 49, who showed off her great hip movements.
Nicola playfully shimmied her shoulders, and then Amanda lifted Angela’s dog, Smith, for a cute appearance. Smith ended up leading everyone in a singalong!
She shared a video with the caption: ‘What an amazing weekend filled with cozy conversations and warm drinks at the beautiful @hankshouse.co with these lovely ladies! Stay tuned for more…’
Over the weekend, the Britain’s Got Talent judge shared how much she cherishes her close relationship with the women in her life, saying she wouldn’t want to live without them.
Oh my gosh, they posted the cutest picture! It’s the whole crew in their pajamas, standing in front of this massive Christmas tree! They said they were wishing Lisa Faulkner could be there, but they still had SO much fun – tons of laughter, amazing food, and, naturally, lots and lots of wine! I’m seriously living for this cozy vibe; it’s everything!
Amanda shared that this photo and video marks the start of many more to come, as it’s from their yearly Christmas weekend getaway.
I’ve been friends with these amazing women for over 30 years – they’re like family to me! We had a wonderful time filled with laughter, delicious food, and plenty of wine. (We especially missed Lisa Faulkner!) We even learned some fantastic new dance moves!

Hank’s House is incredible! We’ve never experienced a place like it – we even cancelled our dinner reservations because we didn’t want to leave and explore other options. The whole family is enjoying matching pajamas from Their Nibs.
Angela shared a photo from her annual Christmas gathering with her friends, saying they spent the evening chatting, dancing, enjoying a meal, and, above all, laughing. She described this year’s get-together as incredible.
Cutting It, a show created by Debbie Horsfield (known for Poldark), aired from 2002 to 2005 and followed the drama surrounding competing hair salons in Manchester.
Amanda portrayed Mia Bevan in the series. Sarah played the main character, Allie Henshall, and Angela and Lucy appeared as Darcey Henshall and Ruby Ferris, respectively.
In 2021, Amanda expressed her enthusiasm for bringing back the show ‘Cutting It’. She said she often thought it would be fun to revive the series, as she remains close friends with her former co-star Angela and they all still get together regularly.
Since the show ended, the actors have continued to work on television. One actress, in particular, has become a presenter, hosting popular shows like Britain’s Got Talent and Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job.
After first becoming known for her role on The Bill and then Cutting It, Sarah went on to star in popular television series like Doctor Who, Mistresses, Broadchurch, and Bancroft.
Lucy, who played Sarah’s onscreen daughter went on to star in Doctor Who, Casuality and Misfits.

Angela is well-known on British television, with previous appearances in popular shows like Coronation Street and Holby City. Before starring in ‘Cutting It’, she also had roles in other major dramas, including ‘Waterloo Road’.
Oh my gosh, I just heard the most amazing thing! Debbie, the genius behind Cutting It – seriously, the BEST show ever – was talking, and she said the whole thing started with her twin sisters! They were both hairdressers, can you believe it? She said growing up around that world, the salons and everything, totally sparked the idea. It’s just… perfect! Knowing that the show came from something so real and personal makes me love it even MORE. I always knew it felt authentic!
I was drawn to the show because usually, dramas about hair salons are played for laughs. But my sisters, who work in the industry, have shown me it’s actually a very demanding and serious profession.
We used to have competitions that were incredibly engaging and exciting – the atmosphere was electric. That got me thinking about all the inherent drama, and I realized a family drama was something I was familiar with writing about.
Being one of five sisters, I often write about the dynamics of female relationships and sisterhood.
