Tundra Esports sweeps Team Yandex to claim BLAST Slam V title

Tundra Esports continues their reign as the best team in BLAST Slam tournaments.

Tundra Esports decisively won the Dota 2 BLAST Slam V championship in Chengdu, China, defeating Team Yandex 3-0 in the grand finals.

Tundra Esports, captained by Neta “33” Shapira – considered one of the best players in the offlane right now – won against Team Yandex. While Tundra wasn’t expected to win, Yandex had already shown they were a strong competitor by defeating the favored Team Falcons to reach the finals.

So, people were asking me why our team keeps winning in BLAST Slam, and honestly, it’s tough to explain why others can’t seem to figure us out. Here’s what I told them…

“I wish I knew why we are good at BLAST and bad at other tournaments. But I’m happy we won.”

Tundra Esports’ player Matthew “Ari” Walker, who plays in the number 4 position, stated in an interview after a match that he’s never content with just one victory. He also praised the experience of playing alongside his teammates.

I really enjoy being on this team because everyone is so friendly and easy to get along with. There’s a great team atmosphere – no one’s overly concerned with themselves, and it makes even being on the road enjoyable.

Tundra Esports has dominated BLAST tournaments, winning four out of the six events held so far. They initially lost in the final of BLAST Slam I to BetBoom Team, but quickly recovered to win BLAST Slam II. Since then, Tundra Esports has continued to win every subsequent BLAST Slam tournament.
