Sunday City is an online role-playing game (RP) where you can live a virtual life, have fun, and build a successful business. Sunday City Overview
Let’s walk through how the game works. You’ll start by choosing one of four characters and beginning a new life in the city. Then, you’ll meet TJ Myers, who will guide you through the basics – everything from how to move around to opening your very first business, a Coffee Shop.
Improve your business by updating things like walls and floors, and then collect your earnings through the MyBiz app. I thought the app was really well-designed – it reminded me of the one in GTA V. It has everything you need, including access to your Garage, messages, and other features.
You can pick up the free Scooter at a car dealership in the game called Showroom Drive. I also appreciate that the vehicles are modeled after real-life cars – for example, the Royal Motors G-Rex is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Plus, you can customize your phone’s case with different designs.
As you play, you’ll gain access to different jobs, starting with simple ones like Mail Carrier and Loader, and eventually working your way up to more challenging roles like City Mayor, Detective, or Captain. I also discovered a character customization option with a style called Dandy, who resembles Conor McGregor, but without the tattoos. Plus, you can even practice Yoga in the game and receive rewards for doing so!
Introducing the Basics of Sunday City
Trophy Road
The game features a Trophy Road that unlocks new things for your business as you improve it. As you play, you’ll gain access to features like the Collect-It App, Achievements, Mail Carrier Jobs, Fortune Wheel, Gold & Guns Slot, and Loader Job. These unlock at different levels, all the way up to Level 4560, where you can become the City Mayor.
Events
The game features lots of different events! For example, the Yoga Class lets you follow along with a yoga instructor and earn rewards based on your team’s performance – you can participate once a day. Other events include Treasure Dig and Balloon Rise, offering similar fun and rewards.
Job Track
The Job Track lets you see all available jobs, ranging from Promoter to Captain. Completing these jobs lets you turn your Casino tokens into money and earn professional experience. As you improve your professions, you’ll unlock better rewards, and you can even use an automode to complete jobs with a single tap.
MyBiz
You can visit your business, like Sunday Coffee, and improve it to begin earning chips. Each upgrade you buy increases your level. Once you’ve completed all upgrades and collected profits every hour, you can move on to your next business, or fully upgrade one in about 10 hours. You’ll start with a business that earns 4,000 chips per hour and can eventually upgrade to one earning 200,000 chips per hour.
Store
The in-game Store has four main sections: Packs, Chips, Gems, and Money. The Packs section offers bundles like Luxury, Riches, Lucky, and Seaside. You can get free Chips every day as a Daily Bonus, and earn even more by watching three ads. A Daily Bonus gives you 5k Chips, while watching ads gives you 15k Chips.
You can purchase Gems and Money using real money. Plus, when you make your first purchase, you’ll receive a bonus – for example, buying 2,300 Gems will get you an extra 5,000!
Sunday City Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Take your time in the beginning
Take your time when you begin the game and learn the ropes. Focus on understanding how everything functions, starting with running your first coffee shop and exploring the city. This will prepare you to successfully manage businesses as you progress.
2. Explore different jobs and level up
Experiment with different jobs and improve your skills to open up even more opportunities and rewards. The Job Track can help you see what’s available and what you can earn.
3. Make sure to try out the events
I’ve been checking out the beach area, and honestly, there’s a lot to do! They’ve got things like Yoga, a Treasure Dig, and even a Balloon Rise, and they actually give out some pretty good rewards. It’s a nice way to take a break from grinding jobs and just have some fun, you know?
4. Automate your jobs
After unlocking automode, you can finish tasks and earn money with a single tap. It’s an easy way to turn your tokens into cash without a lot of effort.
5. Focus on expanding your business
Once you’ve gotten your first business, Sunday Coffee, running, you should aim for larger businesses that generate more profit per hour. Although fully upgrading them takes time, it’s a worthwhile investment because it will allow you to grow faster and increase your earnings.
Final Thoughts
Sunday City is a surprisingly fun life simulation game. There’s plenty to do, with different jobs, businesses to run, and events to participate in. I went into it without expecting much, which probably helped me enjoy it even more, and it’s cool to see so many other players active in the game world.
