French vibes of Season 21 in Rocket League: Cool cars and more

As a big fan, I was a little bummed that this Rocket Pass season didn’t have a ton of extra events going on. But honestly, it totally makes up for it! Psyonix really delivered with the cosmetics – they’re amazing! Plus, they brought back some cool rewards from old Challenges and even made three fantastic new car bodies available, which is awesome.

Rocket League is hugely popular in France, and the recent World Championship showed just how much support there is for French teams like Karmine Corp and Team Vitality. Now, with the start of Season 21, that French energy is extending beyond esports and becoming a central theme within the game itself for the next three months.

Rocket League’s Season 21 begins on December 10th and runs until March 11th. We’re taking a look at all the cool new items and features available in the French Rocket Pass this season.

Car bodies to unlock in Rocket League Season 21

Similar to Season 20, Rocket League adds car bodies for you to unlock with the Premium Pass.

  • Corlay is a small car that certainly can fit into the streets of Paris, even if it comes with the spirit of the 1960s. You unlock it right after purchasing the Premium Rocket Pass for Season 21. The hitbox for Corlay is Octane.
  • Magnifique and Magnifique GXT come after unlocking later tiers. The hitbox for both is Dominus.

It’s awesome that Rocket League is adding another Octane hitbox option, since it’s the most popular car body. The Dominus is another solid choice – we even used it for Homer Simpson’s car during a special event!

Parc de Paris, a new arena

Rocket League Season 21 introduces a new arena called Parc de Paris, which is designed with the French capital city in mind.

The promotional images look great, but we’ll really know if it works well when we see it during actual Rocket League gameplay.

French vibes in Rocket League cosmetics

So, Rocket League really went all out for Season 21! They teamed up with a bunch of awesome French artists to design all the cool new items you can unlock as you climb the ranks. It’s pretty neat seeing that artistic flair in the game – definitely adds some extra motivation to grind those tiers!

  • Mr Brainwash and Chanoir worked on the arena and decals.
  • The helmets of the electronic music duo Daft Punk are available as toppers. These guys and Julian Casablancas created the player anthem “Instant Crush”.
  • Rocket Royalty Octane Decal was made in the style of French Baroque.

Heatseeker in the ranked playlist

As for seasonal game modes, Rocket League promotes Heatseeker matches to ranked.

  • Hit the ball, so it automatically flies to the opposite net. It backfires if you shoot the wall, and the ball ends up in your net instead.

For completing Ranked Heatseeker Challenges, you get the Fire Eye topper.

This part of the game feels disappointing when compared to the exciting events from Season 19. It mostly focuses on cosmetic items again.

New Seasonal and Weekly Challenges are available, offering rewards! You can earn up to three rewards from each set of Seasonal Challenges, plus one additional reward each week. You can also unlock more rewards by progressing to tier 70 in the Rocket Pass.

So, Season 21 is kicking off right around the same time as the RLCS 2026 season! It’s kinda crazy – they actually showed off the new Rocket Pass during the Rocket League esports Kick-Off weekend. And if that wasn’t enough, the rest of the Split 1 qualifiers and the Boston Major in 2026 are all happening this winter too. It’s gonna be a busy few months!
