Wuthering Waves Version 3.0 update to release on November 20th, 2025

Wuthering Waves has announced when its version 3.0 update will arrive. While players are currently enjoying version 2.8, the developers have already revealed details about the upcoming patch. This update is expected to be the largest one yet, generating a lot of excitement. We’ve gathered information about both leaks and official announcements. This article will give you a quick overview of what’s coming in the new version.

Let’s quickly review what was new in the 2.8 update. Hopefully, you’ve already had a chance to check it out! The next big update, version 3.0, will be available in the game on December 25th, 2025.

Two New five-star Resonators will be available

With each new game update, players are eager to discover the latest resonators. The upcoming 3.0 update will introduce two new resonators, and both will be at the highest rarity – five-star.

Lynae (5-Star)
Mornye (5-Star)

Lynae is generating a lot of excitement as a new character. Her ability to ride a fiery motorcycle and create a powerful aura is particularly impressive. What sets her apart is that her motorcycle isn’t just a visual effect – it allows her to move freely around the map, making her a highly mobile support character.

Mornye is a different type of fighter called a Fusion Broadblade. Based on her weapon, it’s likely she’s designed to deal high damage – a ‘DPS’ character.

Apart from this, the game is going to rerun some characters in two phases. They are:

Phase 1: Cartethyia, Ciaccona
Phase 2: Augusta, Iuno

Wuthering Waves Version 3.0 Update will bring new Main Quests

Okay, so beyond the resonators, the game will also have main quests! We don’t have any details on what those quests will be just yet, but as soon as I find out more, I’ll definitely share it here. I’m really excited to learn what adventures await!

WuWa Version 3.0 Update brings new Weapons, Echoes, and Sonata Effect

With each game update, we add new weapons and special effects called ‘echoes,’ and this update will continue that trend. We’ll be highlighting the new resonators, along with the unique weapons they come with. More details will be revealed soon.

Honestly, we’re still pretty much in the dark about what’s coming next. But, I’m hearing whispers about a new ‘echo’ set that might be dropping soon.

Hallo of Starry Radiance

2-piece bonus: Healing Bonus + 10%
5-piece bonus: When a resonator heals an ally, every 1% of Off-Tune Buildup Rate grants +0.2% All-Attribute DMG Bonus to all Resonators in the team (up to +25%) for 4s.

Ride of Gilded Revelation

2-piece bonus: Spectro DMG + 10%
5-piece bonus: Dealing Basic Attack DMG increases Spectro DMG by 10%, stacking up to 3 times for 5s. And, at 3 stacks, casting Resonance Liberation grants +40% Basic Attack DMG Bonus.

Sonata Effects

In Wuthering Waves, Sonata Effects are bonuses you get for collecting sets, and they boost your character’s stats in various ways. A new update is coming soon with even more effects, but we don’t know the details yet! Keep an eye out for more information.

New collaborations arriving with WuWa Version 3.0 Update

The rumour is that Wuthering Waves is going to have a few collaborations as well.
