Story Highlights
- Hill Climb Racing 3 offers more dynamic characters than its predecessor along with their different powerful gadgets!
- The recommended cars for the game to upgrade from the game are Hill Climber Mk3 and Rally Car.
Okay, so I’ve been playing Hill Climb Racing 3, the new game from the creators of Hill Climb Racing 2 – Fingersoft. It’s a real-time racing game where you’re up against other players, and the physics are pretty wild! I’m putting together this guide to share some tips I’ve learned to help you level up quickly and get a faster ride. Basically, I’ll show you how to grow your team and dominate the races!
Hill Climb Racing 3 Gameplay Basics
If you’re familiar with Hill Climb Racing 2, especially its multiplayer and Adventure mode, you’ll quickly pick up how to play Hill Climb Racing 3. In this version, you race against four other players in real time. You’ll earn points and materials after each race, which you can use to unlock new vehicles, characters, and customization options.
Hill Climb Racing 2 lets you improve your car’s speed with different upgrades, then race against others. Hill Climb Racing 3 is different – instead of upgrades, you find helpful gadgets on the race tracks that you need to use strategically to win.

Okay, so in this game, you can use gadgets to totally mess with other players – like wrecking their vehicles! They also help me out, boosting my speed or giving me a shield when things get crazy. As for driving, it’s pretty simple. I’ve got one pedal for the gas – that speeds things up – and another for the brake to slow down. Right pedal is gas, left pedal is brake, easy peasy!
Characters and Gadgets
Just like in Hill Climb Racing 2, Hill Climb Racing 3 lets you unlock unique characters with special abilities. In this new game, the features of your vehicles will be determined by the character you choose. Let’s take a look at two of the game’s key characters and what their vehicles can do.

Bill Newton has a gadget that fires a rocket to slow down opponents, and another that helps him glide through the air. Zoey’s offensive gadget launches an exploding spiky ball at enemy vehicles, while her navigation gadget provides a boost upwards.
Hill Climb Racing 3 Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips and tricks that will help you grow faster in your Hill Climb Racing 3 journey.
1. Perform a perfect Start for a quick Boost
Before each race in Hill Climb Racing 3, there’s a 3-2-1 countdown. To get a perfect start and a speed boost, you need to time it just right – keep the arrow on the RPM meter in the light green zone as the countdown hits 1.

2. Invest your Resources wisely
Okay, so listen up, fellow racers! Don’t just throw all your stuff into any vehicle in Hill Climb Racing 3. You need resources to upgrade, obviously, but not every upgrade is worth it. I’ve learned the hard way that you should really focus on upgrading the cars you actually like playing with, or the ones that are key to winning those tough races. Trust me, it saves a ton of frustration!
3. Choose only from the best Vehicles
Hill Climb Racing 3 currently features five different vehicles, and the top choices are the Hill Climber Mk3 and the Rally Car. The Hill Climber Mk3 stands out because its large tires are great for smashing through obstacles, and it’s noticeably quicker than the Hill Climber Mk2.
Next to the best option, the Rally Car is a great all-around vehicle. It handles hills easily and is the fastest vehicle in Hill Climb Racing 3. I recommend focusing your upgrades on either of these two vehicles.
Final Thoughts
Hill Climb Racing 3 features exciting 3D graphics and lets you race against other players in real-time. If you enjoy competitive racing, this game is for you! Being a new release, it might have a few bugs and glitches, but the developers are working on fixes for future updates.
