Man of Tomorrow Won’t Feature This Heavily-Requested Song

James Gunn has revealed that a frequently requested song won’t be included in the new Superman movie, currently known as Man of Tomorrow.

What song won’t be featured in Man of Tomorrow?

James Gunn shared some of his favorite songs of the year on Threads, but explained he couldn’t reveal his absolute top picks because many of them will be featured in his upcoming film, Man of Tomorrow. A fan then suggested including the 1999 hit “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down in the movie.

As expected, Gunn quickly dismissed the idea, saying it wasn’t going to happen. While the song was very popular when it came out, it doesn’t specifically mention Superman, though it frequently references kryptonite.

Currently, details about the upcoming film, Man of Tomorrow, are scarce. We know it’s scheduled to release on July 9, 2027, and will star David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and Rachel Brosnahan.

Superman is often called ‘The Man of Tomorrow,’ and that name has actually been used in the titles of some DC comic book series. A 2020 animated Superman movie also used this title. It’s currently unknown if the upcoming DC Universe movie will draw inspiration from these previous works.

You can now rent or buy Superman on digital platforms like Apple TV and Fandango at Home.
