Abyss Hunters arrives on Android with old-school vibes and auto roguelite combat

Story Highlights

  • Abyss Hunters is a cozy, 2D pixel art idle RPG that brings back the classic old school vibe.
  • The game offers a captivating story with heroes, monsters, loot, raids, abyss bosses, auto battles, resource management, and more.

F5 Games, the creators of popular titles like Runes of Legend and Awakenloop, has just released their new pixel-art idle adventure RPG, Abyss Hunters, on Android. iPhone and iPad users can now pre-register for the game, which is expected to launch on February 9, 2026.

Jump into a pixelated world and battle the ultimate Boss with your squad of adorable heroes

I’m really excited about F5 Games’ new game, Abyss Hunters! It’s an idle RPG with a cool, retro 2D pixel art style that reminds me of the games I grew up with. You play as the Chosen One, and you team up with this intriguing, blindfolded girl. Together, you’re on a quest to defeat a seriously powerful Boss – it looks awesome!

The game lets you explore a stunning world and collect a team of heroes, including Warriors, Mages, Archers, and others. Battles happen automatically, similar to other games in this style. While combat is automated, the randomly occurring Abyssal events add some excitement, and you’ll need to make sure your heroes are properly equipped.

Enjoy a relaxing resource management loop besides the auto battles

The game isn’t particularly innovative – it doesn’t offer anything truly new – but that doesn’t mean it won’t be enjoyable. The gameplay seems interesting, combining elements of farming, cooking, and building a town.

I especially enjoyed the game’s focus on relaxing activities you can share with friends, like fishing and exploring dungeons together. The home base provides a nice change of pace from the automatic battles. Overall, I recommend giving it a try – it features offline progress, charming retro-style graphics, and a stress-free experience without player-versus-player combat, among other things.

The game Abyss Hunters is out now on Android – you can get it from the Google Play Store. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can now pre-register for Abyss Hunters on the App Store. It’s expected to launch on iOS devices on February 9, 2026.
