It’s Mechmas in Brawl Stars, which means it’s time to get seriously powerful! I’m super excited to deck out my Mandy with the new Brawl Pass skins – they look awesome and give her a real boost. Plus, there are special power-ups to collect that’ll make me way stronger in every match. Time to dominate!
Brawl Stars players are always excited about new skins and upgrades, and the Mecha season delivers on both fronts!
Mecha Mandy skins are really cool and worth working towards in the Brawl Pass. You’ll also get a lot of helpful items as you progress!
Along with the usual updates, the December update for Brawl Stars brings some major new features. These include Buffies – completely new power-ups – and changes to how the Brawl Pass works.
Mecha Mandy: The power of futuristic tech anime in Brawl Stars
The new skin really complements Mandy. She’s a powerful, long-range attacker, and while she was already effective as a large robot, this skin makes her attacks look and sound fantastic, capturing the energy of action anime.
Mecha season replaces the Stranger Things event in Brawl Stars.
- The Mecha Mandy skin is the final reward in the Mechmas Brawl Pass season.
- Wasp Mecha Mandy and Shade Mecha Mandy are extra skins in the Brawl Pass Plus tiers. You need to pay a bit more for them.
Mecha Boxes and more skins in the Shop
If you really enjoy the Mecha theme in Brawl Stars, head to the shop and spend some Gems or cash.
- Mecha Boxes may drop seasonal skins and various items.
- Mecha skins are available for direct purchase, like Mecha Petal Piper or Mecha Jessie. During December, you can buy previous Mecha skins with a discount.
Buffies to power up your brawlers
In Brawl Stars, a big part of the game involves unlocking new content – things that directly affect how you play, not just cosmetic items like skins. You’ll work to get new characters (Brawlers), level them up, purchase upgrades like Star Powers and Gadgets, and try to earn the powerful Hypercharge ability.
This progression system is huge, and the addition of Buffies makes it even bigger.
- Buffies in Brawl Stars are special new power-ups to improve Gadgets, Star Powers, and Hypercharge.
- Each brawler gets three Buffies.
- To unlock Buffies, you need to pull one from a Claw Machine in the game. The system gives a random item. One attempt costs 1,000 Coins and 2,000 Power Points.
Buying Buffies can be costly. Because they appear randomly, it’s often a better idea to focus on improving your brawlers instead.
You can find a complete explanation of how Buffies function in the official Brawl Stars blog post. Be aware it’s a detailed article! As an example, here’s how Buffies will work with the Brawler Colt.
- Gadget 1 steals one ammo on hit.
- The bullet of Gadget 2 is wider and deals more damage.
- Star Power 1 gives an extra movement speed if Colt hits his victim.
- Star Power 2 receives additional damage for distant targets.
- If Colt has a Buffie for his Hypercharge, this mode lasts for two seconds longer, and the main attack becomes faster.
Keys and Vaults in Brawl Stars
The Mecha season is the last one before big changes come to Brawl Pass.
- 10 more tiers to unlock.
- Chroma skins are in the normal Brawl Pass track.
- Even the free track gets more valuable items.
- Brawl Pass Plus offers the largest number of special keys.
Brawl Pass keys are a new feature that allows players to select the rewards they want most. This is a big improvement over the previous system where most rewards were given out randomly.
Chaos Drops in Brawl Stars
A new addition called Chaos Drops enhances the popular Starr Drops. Like other drops, they receive updates, but now reach an even rarer ‘Ultra Legendary’ tier, matching the highest level available in the Kaze system that was introduced previously.
You can get Chaos Drops from Daily Wins and in special events.
Ultra Legendary Chaos Drops are very likely to give you Hypercharges and Mythic brawlers, with a 24.7% chance. You also have a 9.9% chance of getting a Legendary brawler from these drops.
The Mecha season is a fantastic start to the holiday season in Brawl Stars, offering plenty of rewards! And there’s even more fun headed our way in January!
